Chapter 10: Anna, You Are Bleeding!

"Mia, let go of me!"
Anna desperately tried to pull her leg back, but she couldn't.
"Anna, although I've always liked Larry, he was your husband before. I never dared to have any improper thoughts about him, nor did I ever think of breaking you two apart. Larry divorced you because you cheated on him. He and I got together only after your divorce. Technically, I have never betrayed you. You lost Larry entirely because of your own faults! I just happened to fall in love with the same man as you!"
"Anna, I know you're unwilling to accept this. I won't scramble for him with you anymore. I'll return Larry to you! I won't fight for anything! I beg you, please don't hurt my child!"
As more bystanders gathered, Anna became increasingly panicked because she knew the current situation was not in her favor.
"Mia! Don't talk nonsense! You deliberately laid yourself down! I never touched you!"
Anna anxiously tried to distance herself from Mia, continuously pulling her leg back.
Seeing Larry appear in her line of sight, Mia released her grip at the perfect moment and fell back, as if she had been kicked by Anna.
Anna hadn't had a chance to move her painful leg that grabbed by Mia.
"Smack!"
A sudden slap hit her face hard.
Anna's head tilted to the side from the force, and her mind went blank. Only a burning sensation remained on her cheeks.
She placed a hand on her swollen cheek, slowly turning her head to see Larry standing in front of her, his gaze filled with a fierce and furious anger, as if he wanted nothing more than to tear her apart.
He gritted his teeth and spoke word by word, "Anna, you evil and dirty woman! If anything happens to Mia's child, I won't let you off the hook!"
Tears once again welled up in her eyes uncontrollably.
"ha."
Anna sneered, emitting two bitter, unpleasant laughs.
This was the man she deeply loved.
He would rather believe that wicked woman's lies than believe her.
The child in her womb was his flesh and blood.
Yet he actually resorted to violence against her because of that bastard child in Mia's womb, who knows the child belongs whom.
He didn't even give her a chance to explain.
Larry shattered their relationship with a single slap.
At this moment, Anna's heart completely died.
She closed her eyes in despair.
She didn't want to explain, nor did she willing to.
Larry bent over and picked up Mia from the ground, walking away quickly.
After the crowd dispersed, Sophia approached with a worried look on her face, "Anna, are you okay? Does your face hurt? Let me help you apply some medicine."
Before Sophia finished speaking, she suddenly saw blood flowing slowly down Anna's fair thigh, a sight so startling and heart-wrenching.
Sophia screamed in fright, "Anna, you're bleeding!"
Upon hearing Sophia's cry, Anna finally felt the pain in her abdomen.
She anxiously placed her hands on her abdomen.
Her baby.
The world before her slowly blurred.
Anna's beautiful face turned pale as if it were a blank piece of paper.
She had finally lost consciousness completely and submerged in darkness.
Faintly, she seemed to hear an urgent shout.
"Someone help! Something’s wrong! Quick, we need help!"
