As I go home I open up the door and head to my room. As I was almost there I hear my dad say "hey sweetie did you have a good day?" Looking at my father on the sofa relaxing watching tv I say "yea not bad just like every other day at school". My dad responds with "that's good sweetie". Telling my dad I need to go do somethings in my room. I head in opening the window and going for a quick shower. After my shower I quickly change and see that Ralph has flown in and bouncing on my bed. Looking at Ralph I tell him "I think you might have been a kangaroo in another life". Trying not to really insult him cause I was actually thinking a drunk or a bunny.
Ralph responds “ hell no... I was maybe a crocodile” then ralph snaps his beak at me
Laughing at him I say “ yea ok mister I can see that..”
Winter "so Ralph have any plans for the rest of the day?"
Ralph "Nah just hanging with my bff"
Winter " you know you won't find a partner always hanging with me."
Ralph "yea but you need me more at the moment. Your just so clueless."
Winter "how am I clueless?"
Ralph "well dah your only friend is me, you prefer to be alone. you need to go out to the party Saturday"
Winter "no I don't!!!"
Ralph "you need to experience something other then being at home you will be an adult Saturday"
Winter "nope not true I will go to never never land and be a kid forever"
Ralph "your delusional"
Winter "look who my best friend is"
Ralph "hey!!"
Winter "well you had it coming"
Climbing onto my bed and resting on my pillow Ralph comes next to my face and sits down.
Ralph "can you make me a promise?"
Winter "what?"
Ralph "just go to the party for me?"
Winter "no"
Ralph "an hour?"
Sighing because I know he will never give up I tell him "fine one hour and nothing more"
Winter "I have to ask mum and dad at dinnertime and see if they will let me go anyways"
Ralph "good bring something so you can steal me something nice to eat after"
Winter "ha so that's why you want me to go"
Ralph "is not"
Winter "well I might as well give you to the wolves so they can put you on a spit and roast you"
Ralph "you would not"
Winter "want to dare me"
I look over at Ralph and tell him "now be quite it's nap time"
With a knock at my door my dad tells me it is time for dinner. I slowly get myself out of bed. Seeing that Ralph has now left I close for the day I close my window for the night and head to the dining room. Seeing my mum has come back from home and is sitting at the table while dad serves the dinner I go up to her and place a kiss on her cheek before sitting down. As dad sits down with his plate they begin to chat about their days how it was at the border for him and how mums work was at the hospital for her. Slowly along the line my mum asks “ how was your day at school?”
Looking up from my food I tell my mother " yea it was alright"
Mum "that's good honey"
Winter "well umm.. mum and dad i was wondering if I could go to the party on Saturday?"
Dad "what party?"
Winter "you know the Alpha sons party"
Mum looks at dad warily then looks back at me
Mum "umm..I don't think that is going to be a good idea"
Winter "but why?"
Mum "we will discuss it later"
Dad "I think we could let her go but she would have to be home before twelve"
Mum gives dad a glare and tell him "she shouldn't go"
Dad "come on sweetie she is always home and I never see her with anyone else it be a good chance for her to make friends"
Mum "I just don't like the idea of her by herself with all those wolves"
Mum "what if something happened"
Dad rubs mums arm in a soothing way and says "she is growing up and needs to start experiencing things"
Mum sighs and says "fine as long as you home before twelve Winter no staying out all night also make sure you have your phone and its turned on"
I walk over to my mother and hug her saying "thank you"
Mum "your welcome... alright now finish your dinner.
