Lady Trina

The next morning I woke up with an extra boost in my normal routines which includes: Waking up, taking shower, feeding Luca, sending him to school and then before I finally leave the house to go to work. After I was done with the first three routine, I sent Luca to school and I went back to the market hoping to see the old woman again and also trying my hardest to remember where she lives. I waltz my way to the stand where I first met her but she wasn't there.

"You're looking for Yuna?". A middle age woman asked me. She's a very beautiful woman with a slightly dirty blonde hair, her eyes were emerald green and she had on a glossy red lipstick. "Yes I am... uh have you seen her?". I asked her. She stared at me for awhile carefully examining my body and every movement that I made, it took some time before she utter another sentence to me. "You're the girl that she hired right ?". I nodded replying to her question. "She's already gone to the Noble's home, you should probably meet her there."

The woman said. She kept staring at me and it made me feel uncomfortable, she pulled back her jacket and I saw a drip mark of blood running on her shirt. She saw that my eyes went on the blood mark so she quickly covered it, she let out a light smile before she started to walk away. As she left I kept feeling uneasy because of the way she stared at me, but I later decided to pull the thought away and I went to the Noble's home.

The place is big and beautiful, a little smaller than the palace but I would kill to live here any day. As I approached the gate a vampire sped past me and he immediately blocked my way. "Who are you and why are you here?". He hit me with a double question. His features are dark and on his face a huge cut mark ran from the top of his forehead all the way down to his chin. I put myself back in shape and I said. "I'm here to see Ms. Yuna, she told me to come here."

The man doesn't break eye contact with me and as he stared his features got darker, his brown eyes left mine and landed on my neck. I was terrified at that point because I knew that I'm about to die, the spell somehow was fading and I'm pretty sure that my human stench could be smelt a long mile away. His eyes started to turn red and it sent shivers down my spine.

"She's with me Javier no need for the extra precaution." I heard a voice behind me and when I turned I saw that it was actually Ms. Yuna. I looked back at Javier and his eyes went back to normal, I thanked all the lucky stars that Yuna came when she did. I know that I'm a witch but call me the more basic witch the only spell I know is healing and cloaking, nothing special I can't even levitate things or make fire come from my hands.

"Sorry Yuna but you know you can't be too careful....". He paused for a bit and he stared at me. "Especially when it comes to a woman that looks like her." he added. Yuna smiled and she tapped my shoulders as we both entered the mansion. I examined everything with my eyes wide and my mouth opened, there were glamorous statues and beautiful arts all over the walls. The marble floor shines everytime the sun ray hits it and the water in the pond sparkled due to the same ray.

"You've never been to a place like this have you?". Ms. Yuna asked me and I repeatedly nod, she laughs as we kept on walking. She led me to the huge room where I saw a chair that looks like a throne for a king but it wasn't. Yuna stopped walking and so did I. I started to wonder if she missed the way but all of it came to an end when a beautiful woman entered the room.

She wore a beautiful red gown with a crystal heels, her hair was long and curly dark chestnut brown. Her face looked perfect and it matched her perfect pale skin the same way how the dress matched her icy blue eyes. She waltz through the room so elegantly making me to question my entire existence, the confidence that she wore as she march would make anyone fear her. When she reached close enough to Yuna and I she stopped and Yuna immediately took a short bow. I didn't want to anger her or her bodyguards so I bowed too.

"Excuse me for my lateness Lady Trina." Yuna said in a slow and calm tone. I soon realized that Lady Trina is the daughter of the noble who will be marrying the prince. "I'll take your apologies and you should take my mercy as a warning for you to never waste my time again." Trina replied to Yuna in an elegant but yet threatening way. "Thank you My lady." Yuna bowed.

Trina eyes moved from Yuna and it landed on me, I did my best to avoid her gaze. "Who are you?". She asked. I wanted to answer but then Yuna voice became heard "She's another townsmen like me."

"I wasn't asking you, was I Yuna? ." Trina yelled at Yuna and she immediately lowered her head. Trina cleared her throat and she looked at me again "Who are you?".

"I'm Scar-- Scarlet actually." I replied to her.

"I like your name.... it's cool." She smiled at me and I smiled back, Trina signaled her bodyguards for them to leave her alone. They protest a bit but they didn't make it out verbally, they both left her alone. "Will she be helping you with the wedding Yuna?"

"Yes she will." Yuna said.

"Good she seem like she has good taste but I have to test it." Trina took a few steps back and she made a 360° spin. "Now Scarlet I know that I look good in this dress... but tell how to make it better." The question caught me off guard and I became startled be it. I mean the dress looks great on her and I can't think about a way to make it better.

I took my eyes off her dress and landed it on her neck. I realized that she wasn't wearing any necklace and it hit me that having one would boost up her glow. "The dress itself is beautiful but I feel like if you add a nice necklace it would balance everything." Trina doesn't say anything she just walked over to the mirror that's in the room, pulled out a box from the back of it and took out a nice red crystal and she placed it around her neck.

Her face lighted up the second she saw how it looked on her, she made another turn before she came back to us. "I love it...... okay Scarlet you have the job. I like your sense." Yuna looked at me and she smiled. "Can we get started now my lady?" Yuna asked. "Yes come on now. We need to decide on decor ideas..... Tell me Scarlet what color do you think would look pleasant for a first royal wedding. I'm not looking for a white theme cliche." Both Trina and Yuna stared at me waiting for an answer, who wouldn't want a white cliche for their first wedding. "Um how about a nice combination of purple and black."

"That wasn't my first choice but I like it. Come on now let's get to it.... tomorrow the Prince will be here to visit my father." Trina led the way followed by Yuna and I. The rest of the day I spent it with the both of them and I found myself liking Trina a lot. I mean she's not like what people say, she's fun and really nice in her own rich and snobby way.

"Ok that'll be all for today Scarlet." Trina said as she fell on her chair exhausted. Yuna had already gone home and it was only she and I the the rest of the day. "Are you sure?" I asked her. She sighed loudly before she responded to me "Yes Scarlet that will be all for now. Be sure to come here tomorrow because I'm sure my father and the Prince would give suggestions."

"Ok Lady Trina." I picked up my things and I left the room. On my way out of the mansion I saw Javier the vampire that was looking at me like I'm his next meal from earlier, he kept looking at me in the same manner as he did when we first met. I hurriedly left the place and on my way back I constantly looked backwards to see if he was following me. The night was cold and black dark and sounds of crickets where heavy. Bats flew around repeatedly making the environment look extremely timid.

All of the sudden I felt the hair on the back of my neck rise and I knew for sure that I was being followed. I didn't wait for the person to get close nor did I wait for my suspicion to be cleared; so I started to run. I ran as fast as I could not looking back, I was getting close to the town when I decided to see for a split second if I was still being followed.

I turned and no one was there but when I turned my head back, I bumped into a huge figure causing me to fall ok the ground. I lifted my head up to see what or who I had just hit, when my eyes met the person I saw a familiar face. It was the vampire from the mansion. He stood still before me as he looked down at my fallen body, I started to move backwards slowly but as I moved he also moved closer to me.

I picked up a rock and I threw it on his head, he fell to the ground. I quickly got up and I started to run back in the direction of the mansion, as I ran I tried my best to remove my magic bound bracelet. It couldn't come out, apparently during my time of struggle it became tangled. I kept trying to untangle it but I soon felt a hand pull me backwards.

And in a quick motion I felt a sharp pain in my neck and I started to scream loudly, he kept feeding on me until I began to loose consciousness. The rest that happened that night was a blur but what I can remember a bit was being thrown on to the ground and watching Javier's head gets ripped off. A shadowy figure walked towards me and my eyes went shut. I died. Or at least I thought I did.
