CARISSA'S POV
I think about Theron's words over and over again.
“You’re hanging in the balance.”
Those damn words. I don’t know how to stop replaying them. Every second, every breath feels like I’m hanging on the edge of something unknown, something I can’t quite understand . It’s driving me insane.
What did he mean by that?
I pace the length of my room. The walls feel closer than usual, suffocating. My chest tightens as I feel frustrated. I can’t do this. I can’t stay trapped in here any longer.
Without another thought, I fling open the door and step outside.
I head toward the training grounds. Maybe seeing Jaime and Kaine will be enough to calm me down.
