6. Then we were three

I felt like my crew was becoming a reality, but I still had not been honest with my new friends. But we lived in that cabin, we were practicing different skills every day, and we did become very good at hunting small animals and our life together was only peaceful. But I felt a restlessness. My revenge. I wanted to get closer to my killer, get to know him again. But this time I would not be trapped in our arranged marriage. Maybe it was no arrangement in this world. The real Stella in this year was gone, where was she? 

There was still so many questions, but I didn't need every answer. The universe had done so much already, and I was waiting for my next move. One day we were outside practicing as usual, and our new friend May almost fell down from a tree. She was not as skilled as me in climbing yet, and she got stuck hanging in a branch too far from the ground. "Hang on, I'm coming to get you!" I yelled at her. She was so scared, and would not move. Probably the smartest move, because the branch was not that strong and a fall could be fatal. David came running and stood beneath when I climbed as a cat up in the tree, past the branch May was hanging and to the next. Then the weirdest thing happened. I fell, but I did not fall to the ground. I was hanging in the air, and could grab her! I grabbed May, held her tight and we landed safely at the ground. Nobody spoke for minutes, we just looked at each other and did not know what to believe. Did that just happen or what? 

I was frozen and speechless for an eternity it felt like. My mind was racing, and I concluded that I had to tell them everything. It was the right time. I just prayed to the Universe that they would still be with me after they heard what I had to say. I closed my eyes and said "I have to tell you something. Something more than what you just witnessed. I did not know I could do this, I swear to you. I had no idea! But I think I know why. Let's go back to the cabin and talk. Please."
