Episode2: The gorgeousLycan I

Chloe's POV

Matilda and I worked tirelessly assisting other maids with the washing and cleaning. The head chef/head maid, Edith, didn't let us catch a break, she practically turned us into chefs as well. We assisted in the cooking, dish washing and other kitchen duties. Afterwards, we were sent to tidy up two rooms for the Lycan King and his royal Beta. I was made the personal maid for the Lycan King and Matilda was made the royal Beta's. A personal maid is one maid in charge of a guest that visits the mansion. This means, we would be the only ones they send around and call when they need something. No one else wanted this job as it was very stressful.

The Lycan King was known to be very arrogant, bossy and rude, and no one wanted to be in his bad books. Although there was a high chance that he would end up sleeping with his personal maid and majority of these maids would kill for that opportunity but these maids wouldn't risk it. No maid or chef wanted to be embarrassed by the Lycan King, or worse, kicked out of the pack. So they left the job for Matilda and I.

I horridly moved towards my quarters to get cleaned up when something caught my eye outside the window. I took a few steps towards it, now standing in front of the window, I saw a black expensive BMW driving into the mansion's large white gates and I immediately knew it was the Lycan king. The car came to a halt and he stepped out of the backseat so gracefully and my goodness was he handsome.

Matilda always told me stories of how good looking he was and how ladies would go to different lengths just to be with him, or atleast be in his bed but I never believed her until now.

His face is the true definition of perfection, right from his thick, black, full perfectly carved eyebrows to his white gorgeous dear eyes. His pointed nose, sharp jaw line and full pink kissy lips couldn't go unnoticed. His dark skin was glowing in a graceful manner while his thick, long black and brown hair slept neatly on the collar of his well-ironed buttoned up shirt that was tucked into the dark blue neatly ironed trousers. Down to his well-polished black pair of expensive shoes. Everything about him screamed perfection and wealth. Every step he took was elegant and graceful. I couldn't just look away, this man was head turning beautiful, handsome was an understatement. The moon goddess really took her time to create him

Just then I saw two other maids, Lydia and Claire approaching him and the way the played with their hair and stared at him lustfully made it obvious that they were flirting with him and for some reason it pissed me off. I saw him nod slightly before he walked passed them with his Royal beta, leaving them to bring in his luggage. When he was out of my sight, I refocused on what I was doing, but unfortunately....

"Get your ass out here, the king has arrived" Edith came Into my room shouting. I didn't want to be rude so I simply obeyed. I followed her closely still wearing my dirty clothes and my hair and messy hair

We arrived at the common room where the king sat on the sofa and put one leg on top of the other. When he heard our footsteps stood up, but when he realized it was us, he rolled his eyes and returned back to his former position like we weren't important or was it just that the sight of us disgusted him.

Edith stood in front of him with me at her back right and Matilda at her back left.

"Welcome, King Xander. We are honored to have you here with us. I am Edith, the head chef and head maid. And this is Chloe, she will be your personal help" she said. Immediately she mentioned my name, my heart skipped a beat. I rose my chin slightly to maintain eye contact with him but I broke it almost immediately. It felt like he was looking into my soul, his gaze was piercing, as of he was trying to figure something out. He raked my body with his eyes and the look of disgust yet yearning was fixed on his face. He was very intimidating.

Edith coughed as a notion for me to speak up.

" I would be honored to work as your personal maid for the duration of your stay, King Xander woods " I manged to say with my gaze fixed on the floor.

"And this is Matilda, she will work as the personal help to your Royal Beta " Edith said and Matilda rose her chin, looking directly into the royal Beta's eyes and said the same thing I said while maintaining eye contact. She was so bold and fearless, she didn't fear anyone.

I could still feel the king's piercing gaze on me, and for a moment it seemed like he wasn't focused on all that was happening, but one sentence from Edith pulled him out of his thoughts.

"Do you accept, king Xander?"

The king can decline us and ask for another pair and a part of me was hoping he did.

"Yes" he answered without his eyes leaving me. His voice was thick and firm yet soft and calm.

"Well the princess is up in her room getting dressed but the Alpha is in his study, that's where he would like to hold the meeting" Edith said and after a while of gazing at me and giving a short smirk, he answered.

"Take me to the alpha'a study" The king said. His voice sent cold shivers and thrills down my spine. He stood up from the chair and I watched as the guard led him and his beta to the alpha'a study.
