10 “Why?” Caius called after her as Tanda shuffled toward the cave entrance. “She can see daiad now, can’t she?” “Not good enough,” Tanda called over her shoulder. “She needs to do better.” “By wishing harder?” I asked her as we three hurried after the shuffling woman. She stopped just shy of the line between dark and light, and a sly smile slipped onto her lips. “Not quite.” Tanda stabbed her stick at a rock some fifty feet in front of the cave.
