Three months without contact. Surprisingly, we’re surviving well. Not quite thriving, but Will has managed to keep up a steady harvest of fruit and vegetables, Toby is stocking up our storerooms and Bastian has repaired pretty much everything that was malfunctioning when they arrived.
The station is like it should be.
I’ve finally sorted through the possessions of the dead, and built a memorial outside, a few hundred yards away from the station. It’s a simple burial mound, containing all their belongings. I put a cross on top of it, but it was blown away within two days.
I’ve only kept one thing for each of them and have put them on shelves in the library. Books, pictures, a stuffed elephant. Reminders that they’re still part of the station. They help
