CHAPTER 5: What The Dark Allowed

He held her jaw and kissed her. It was not gentle, it was desperate, and she felt his sharp exhale against her face. She kissed him back, equally desperate and helpless. She shut her eyes for a moment and let the sweetness overtake her. Then he broke away sharply. His eyes burned hot and he couldn't look at her face. Leha turned away as he dragged a hand across his face. Her heart hammered in her chest. “I'm sorry,” he whispered in a hoarse voice. She couldn't force the words in her mind past her throat. “I didn't mean to…” She cut him off, reaching for him to kiss him fiercely. He was tense against her for a moment. Then he pulled her close to himself and returned her kiss with a fervor that left her breathless. Her eyes welled up with tears again and they spilled out. He reached up mid-kiss to wipe them off her cheeks, shaking his head against her mouth. One of her hands was holding his shirt feverishly. She let go, sending both arms up his neck as he opened his mouth to capture her lower lip. Pulling away, he cradled her head delicately, his chin resting against her hair. “This is a bad idea,” he said huskily. She inhaled deeply, trying to steady her breathing. Her heart beat erratically as she pulled her head back to look in his eyes. He stared back at her, and for one frightening moment she feared he had recognised her. “I don't know you, but I feel like we'll regret this later.” She shook her head. “We'll forget. I need to forget for a moment, how it feels for your life to be moving in a direction you aren't steering. I want to make a decision I can own.” His grip around her loosened slightly. He smiled. “I didn't expect everything to go quiet as it did when I kissed you.” Her heart galloped inside her chest. “Did you like the silence?” She purred, heady at the thought that she was thawing the cold, unfeeling Lucas Langston, while being purged of her own heartache at the same time. “It's what I've been craving,” he whispered. He held her gaze for a moment more before putting his mouth tenderly on hers. She arched herself into him as he dragged her even closer. He caressed her neck, and she stiffened when his fingers sank into the base of her neck. Her wig was secured in place, but what if it shifted or came off? When his fingers went to her corset ties, she didn't stop him. The leather fell away and cool air hit her breasts with a splash. She inhaled a sharp breath involuntarily, lacing her fingers in his hair. He groaned deep in his throat, the sound rumbling his chest. She ran her hands over his chest, pleasure and guilt fighting for dominance inside her. Working of their own accord, her fingers unbuttoned his shirt. Her movements slowed when she touched the vest he had on underneath, instead of his skin. She could feel the rhythm of his heartbeat underneath her palms. His hands scraped their way down her bare arms and she shuddered. He raised himself slightly on the seat and she moved as well, sliding down to lie on her back. She drew in a shaky breath as his mouth covered breast, her fingers sinking into his hair again to pull him closer. He drew his head up. “You can still stop me,” he murmured. She barely managed to shake her head before she dragged him closer to plant soft kisses all along his chin. “Leha,” he breathed against her skin. Goosebumps broke out all over her neck and arms. She should have stopped him. She should have run. Instead, she reached for his belt. Leha heard the breath catch in his throat. He shut his eyes and exhaled deeply. She pushed down the front of the spandex and released his flesh. Clothes were shoved aside in a haze of need. One half of her lower lip disappeared into her mouth and she bit on it, when his finger entered her. “Uhhh…” she slurred. Her voice was raw, feral. When he pushed inside her, slow, thick and overwhelming, her head fell back against the couch with a broken moan. He stilled, forehead pressed against hers, their breathing ragged. “Tell me to stop,” he growled. “Don't stop, Lu…ohh, damnn” He moved. The rhythm started slow, almost reverent, every thrust dragging a raw sound from her throat. Her eyes rolled back in their sockets and her eyelids dropped. He held her hips and raised her a little off the couch, hitting a different angle that made her every other inhale come out as a reckless moan. Then hunger took over. His grip on her hips turned bruising as he drove deeper, harder, chasing oblivion in her body the way she chased it in his. She felt tingled inside, in so many places at once that she couldn't focus on the effect in one spot. Her hands gripped his shoulders firmly, her eyes feeling so heavy that she couldn't keep them open. She released a last grunt that came out forcefully. She gave one quick shudder after another, breathing very heavily. His own release came seconds after. He buried himself deep in her with a guttural groan, holding her tighter than she'd ever been held by any man at his c****x. For a while, the only sounds were their ragged breathing. Leha had never felt so simultaneously tired and relaxed in her life. It didn't last long. She opened her eyes slowly. It was still the same semi-darkness. The music outside still sounded, muffled and far off. But Lucas Langston was still inside her, his weight heavy and comfortable, face tucked into her neck. His breathing slowed as he drifted into that aftermath state of half consciousness. Her heart, racing with pleasure only minutes ago, stopped for a moment. Her brain seemed to have doubled in size. The mask clung damply to her skin. Gently, she pushed at his shoulder and slowly slipped herself out from underneath him, rising to her feet. She immediately wanted to step out of her heels. Her corset piece lay on the hardwood floor. She picked it up and wrapped it around herself, hands shaking. He shifted, softly murmuring something she couldn't make out. She couldn't look at him. She picked her panties off the couch and crumpled them in one hand, unable to do anything else with them. Leha's feet felt unsteady as she walked to the door. As her hands curled around the knob, trembling violently, she heard his voice, raspy and delicious. “Who are you, really?”
