Cupid's Arrow

Chapter Three

Arun fastens his step toward his classroom. His legs might get numb as his walking pace is more like running. His face looks red out of anger, like a red tomato. His steps suddenly stopped as he steps into the classroom. His eyes stuck to a direction where he can see the girl who embarrassed him a few minutes ago. His nose let out a big amount of air. It came out as hot as any dragon has ever flamed.

Siva looked through the direction where he can see the same girl. Even though the thought of having a fierce girl like her in his class he was quite happy as he can get a glimpse of her beautiful face everyday college.

Later on, he realises the soul beside him who burning with anger. He slowly drags Arun inside with all his force and strength and finds an amazing place where he can see her angelic face clearly.

" Damn I am not gonna sit here! I don't wanna see her disgusting face" he gets up from his seat but pulls back by Siva.

" Buddy just focus on the class! Don't just bother her presence! This place looks comfortable that's the only reason I choose this! Not to look at her ravishing face "Siva said keeping his most innocent smile.

Arun's eyes shot hatred glares towards her direction which can burn her skin and make a hole on it.

That was her dream. As a middle-class child, she never desires anything big. Even though she wanted to she can't. The only goal in her life is studying such a big university. Since the day she born till now, her mother never lives her life for herself. She never has seen her care about herself.

Adithi wants to see her mother like a queen. She wants to get a great job to gain money and have an amazing life. After all, that's most of the middle-class people's mindset. She felt goosebumps all over her body when she thinks of herself achieving her dream.

She felt that she already stand at the first step of her life goal. She closes her eyes to feel the good vibes all around her. After a few seconds, the atmosphere slowly changes. she opens her eyes to meet with a powerful pair of eyes which piercing her skin with burning anger. The smile that lingerie her lips no longer seems to be there.

Instead, her own anger rose in her. She pretends to ignore him and keep her focus around the walls. He walks past her and she signs relief.

Her inner voice said nothing can make her day worse than having him in the same class as her. She just curses her fate just then she felt someone's presence beside her. She turns and finds a beautiful girl settling herself comfortably beside her.

Adithi's Pov

She passes me a kind smile which immediately melts my anger. She has warm and cheerful features make me want to befriend with her at first sight.

" Hi! I am Shreya! You can call me Reya or shre or anything you want. ! I am from England I am half of Britain and half Indian. My dad is a Brits and mother is an Indian. The had a love marriage. Such a beautiful couple you know. I came here for studies. I don't know anyone here. I don't have any friends here. Congratulation you are my first friend here" she suddenly forward her hand towards me make me stunned for a second. OMG, she talks a lot. Her Britain accent sounds so delicate in her tongue.

"ha... Hi! I am Adithi. well, I born, grew up, studied and did everything in India " I said shook my hand with her.

" of course I know you are a Pure Indian, she said makes me curious for a second.

"how? "I asked

" Indian face cut, of course, she said makes smile.

"I saw you argue with that handsome but I am arrogant guy before. OMG, you are so brave and bold. I thought you might be scary. But that's just wow " she shout I just laugh. She is kinda cute.

" Thanks," I said passing her smile.

" Nah no thanks will be accepted between friends," she said I just become speechless.

" what? We are friends right? " she asks narrowing her eyebrows.

" ha..h..of course," I said chuckled a bit. She is so interesting.

" Okay now teach me how to be brave and bold as you? Well... I talk a lot don't mind it okay " she said and I just shook my head no.

" actually I learn it from my mother. I am a single parent. She raises me with so much difficulty. My father passed away when I was 8. I love my dad more than anything. I was broken. When he was there no one dare to bully me but when he passed away everyone start to bully me in school. She teaches me to face the problems on my own. That's the reason what I am now " I finished. She claps her hands which make other's attention fall on us. I just awkwardly smile before gesture her to stop.

"I am your big fan now! Can I get an autograph pleaseeeee" she asked showing her notebook. I giggles make her laugh along with me.

Arun's pov

Here a volcano about blast and she is laughing along with someone. Damn! Is she thinking high about herself? After all, she is a damn woman. Who gives her rights to shout at me.

" aww! look how beautifully she laughs. It feels so good to see two angels in one place! Such a melodies sound" Siva said resting his head in between his hand while balancing it with his elbow on the table.

" come on man! I know you sit here on purpose " I said hitting his arm with my elbow.

The lecturer enters the classroom which immediately silences the class.

" Hello, guys! I am your lecture! My name is Alexander Johnathan. I want you guys to introduce yourself one by one please " he said starts from the first row.

After a few minutes, she got her turn. Something inside me have the urge to know about her.

"Hello, friends!  I am Adithi Devaratnam" she introduces herself.

" so you are the scholar student right? " the lecturer asked.

" yes sir," she said passing a polite smile.  Anyhow, That looks evil for me. 

"I heard your father is a military man," he asked. I don't know why so many questions for her.

" yes, sir. But he passed away 8 years go! " she said made my heart sank.

" oh, I am sorry to know that miss Adithi! What about your financial status" he asked. I saw her shifting uncomfortably as the whole class looking at her.

" my mother's income is enough for us to run our family sir. We two are a family. So nothing to struggle " she said confidently giving him a polite smile.

"You may take your seat," he said as she sat down looks relief. I know how hard it can be to have a single parent. She and her mom might face a lot of struggle in life. I shouldn't treat her like that.

Wait! Oh no. What am I thinking?

" Arun! It's your turn" Calvin said.

I stood up and adjust my shirt a bit. Some of those girl gawking at me shamelessly. Even some give me flying kisses. Eww! I wonder if they really brush their teeth or not.

" tell me about yourself Mr," he said.

" I am Arun Adithya " i said.

" Yeah, I heard about you! you are the richest kid among the student right? " he asks I just roll my eyes.

" So the only son of Mr Adithya and the prince of Adithya's empire is studying here? I can't believe this " he said which sounds so dramatic to me. I heard many gasps. s**t! Now everyone wants to befriend with me! Well, who doesn't want that! Even when I was studying in high school many want to be my friend just because I am rich. That's why I don't have any close friends other than Siva. The only human creature sees me as a human, not an ATM card.    

" is there any rules Mr knight's son can't study here Mr Johnathan? " I asked crossing my arm. I heard some giggles and some still gawking at me as my muscles tighten. He gestures me to sit.

Adithi's pov

So he is the richest among the whole students here? Damn no wonder he is that arrogant. That's why I hate to reach brats! I came out of my thought when I felt someone patting my shoulder. I look at my side to find Reya nearing my ears to whisper something. The expression on her face looks like she gonna tell me the world's biggest secret. I lean forward towards her

" do you know he is also a single parent like you! his mother passed by when she gave birth to him. Poor him he won't even have anyone other than his father " she said made my heart tighten across my chest.

So he is also a single parent like me. Damn At least I had the experience of being with my father. but his mother passed away when he was just a newborn. No wonder we don't know how to treat a woman. I can't blame him. Wait... Am I pitying him? No way!!!

Lunch break. Adithi was so lost in her thought as she walks towards her vehicle. Just when someone dashes with her make her fall. She closes her eyes tight knows what's gonna happen next. But Surprising her, She didn't hit the floor but instead something strongholds her. She opens her eyes to stuck in the most beautiful mesmerising deep ocean blue, A deep eye lock. It's broke apart as the realisation hit her. She pulls apart from him as her cheeks are deep red. She fastens her step and walks from there.

Arun was just dumbstruck as he doesn't really get what happen just now. Why his heart beats faster than usual when he gets close to her. Strange...
