SEVEN YEARS LATER
Darkness came to rob the horizon. The joy of the sun that exploded in the middle of the day disappeared. The hard gust of wind made a squeaking sound like thousands of chicks losing their mothers. The sound raced with the pounding of five pairs of hooves shuffling down the mountain peak.
The five pairs of odd-toed hoofed claws covered in iron hoofs walked slowly in the freezing wind. The narrow winding road with a steep degree of inclination made the five horses' steps slow down. On one side, an abyss with no visible edge ready to accept their footsteps if they made a mistake.
In the dark of night, the streaks of moonlight hitting the earth's surface are the only clues other than the instincts of the animals and their riders.
