    Mid-November of 1274, at exactly midnight in autumn, five horses approached the slopes of the Torikai hill. Cold air burst through the harness, smothering our inner robes. Five horses sweating. Their bodies gleamed by a ray of moonlight that broke through the branches and deciduous branches. Leaves decay, dry out, form small clumps of the hill.      The night wind blows hard. Weather changes began to appear. Clumps of steam from the nose of five horses form thin smoke.     We stopped the horse, slowly descending from the saddle silently as if our feet were afraid to wake the sleeping giant.
