(Ariel's POV)
I heard the door opening and closing silently as I opened my eyes to have the slight sunlight fill the room. It was the Beta who stood at the door without any expression on his face.
“The Alpha King,” he said in a serious tone, “He has ordered that you leave the palace with him today, you're leaving moonstone.”
My eyes widened for a moment as I tried to process the words. The palace. Today. My heart contracted at the thought of never being in the Moonstone Pack again. I was frustrated and angry. This was the only home I knew of. Though this place wasn't any better and it had my darkest moments in life, still, it was my only home.
