Chapter 4Some air bubbles appeared on the surface, then two heads slowly emerged from the sea.
‘s**t, that was great!’ cried Dio, pushing his mask up onto his forehead.
‘You're right, a lovely dive!’ Georges went on.
Dio swam to the ladder at the back of the boat and started to climb up it; although he was a little hampered by his flippers, he managed to reach the deck without mishap. Georges did the same while Dio was removing his equipment. After stowing away their bottles, they took off their diving suits and set about drying themselves.
‘And to think that just a week ago I was in grey old Paris!
‘You're right, Dio, you’re much better off here!’ agreed Georges.
