Theo’s pov I blankly stared at him for a while, wondering if I heard him right. He couldn’t have told me that his wolf had died, right? With my eyebrows knitted together in a frown, I shook my head and leaned in so I could hear him better. I must have heard him wrong. How could a wolf die like that? “What did you say? I don’t think I heard you right,” I said, carefully watching his demeanour. His laughter was forced. There was no joy in it, but his face sported the same smile he usually had.
