Getting an appointment was easier than I thought it would be, and we were soon on our way to Wood Stone. It was a longer ride than usual, and the anticipation made it seem longer. I was glad that Gerald and Fenrir didn’t bother to make small talk with me. I already had a lot on my mind.
Despite my calm demeanour, I was rather anxious by the time our vehicle reached their doorstep. The Alpha of Wood Stone and his council were there to receive us.
