Asher’s pov I couldn’t believe that he would trick me like that. I should have trusted my gut feeling when I felt he was judging me after he returned from that meeting. After all that happened, I started to ponder what the meeting must have been. Perhaps he went to speak with them behind my back, and after learning their truth, he decided to hand me over to them.
