Nikita’s pov I sprinted to the hospital where they were taking him. My heart thumped hysterically in my chest, almost as though it were about to jump out of my ribcage. Panting, I halted in front of the Emergency Room. I wasn’t allowed inside, as I wasn’t his family. For the first time since my mom died, I wanted to cry. We were so close to being one.
