Sean asks Emily again who Harry Grey is.
Within the blink of an eye, Miss Rose and Henry, Emily's mother and brother, were already in the room, asking what the matter was between the two of them
The tension in the room was so high that nobody was ready to talk first, but Sean summoned the courage to speak out.
“Emily has been cheating on me.”
But Miss Rose wasn't surprised about that because she already knew about the secret affair that was going on between Emily and Harry.
Emily meets Harry in one of her shopping outings at Royal Garden shopping mall, as Harry sees her; he is immediately so attracted to her beauty that he seeks an audience with her.
And after a short introductory conversation, there was an exchange of contact and with that bid their self goodbye.
But it didn't just end there, Harry was also among the guests who came to the grand birthday party celebration of Miss Rose, and that was when Miss Rose got to know about his affair with her daughter.
Harry Grey wasn't just a mere guy like Sean with no legacy and purpose. He was the firstborn and the heir to the Grey family, who was the second richest family in the country but Sean wasn't aware of that.
Sean was about to ask Emily again who Harry Grey was when he was disrupted by her mother
“Oh, shut up, why are you shouting and ranting like a dog, of what use are you to this family?”
She paused and continued
“Ever since you came into this family, you have been nothing but a disgrace to this family. Do you think this family will allow you to destroy our reputation?”
“Never, that's not going to happen.”
At this point, Sean was dumbfounded, completely frozen, not knowing what to say.
His ear was buzzing.
His thoughts were spinning, and his heart was heavy.
Henry stepped closer, his voice was cruel and full of mockery.
“ You were just a mistake, we tolerated. But it will soon come to an end.”
Sean was shocked by the words of Henry but he didn't say anything. He turned slowly back to Emily, still hoping for one last shred of honesty from her.
“Emily,” he said quietly, “ was any of it ever real?”
Emily let out a laugh and said, “Do you think this is some sort of fairy tale or a cooked-up story?”
“Listen Sean, the love, feelings and affection I once had for you died a long time ago, and I can't keep wasting my time with somebody like you.”
Sean clenched his fist, a storm of emotion raged inside him-he felt betrayed, heartbroken, and humiliated.
With his head bowed in pain and anger, he walked out of the room to the entrance door and left the mansion, walking aimlessly on the street with no direction of where he was going.
While walking aimlessly on the roadside, Sean was still trying to comprehend the drama that had just unfolded before him some minutes back, asking himself if that was a nightmare.
Back at the mansion, Emily was in her room applying makeup on her face when her mother walked in and leaned against the doorpost staring at her.
Miss Rose clears her throat and speaks up. “Are you still going to stick with this good-for-nothing loser?”
Miss Rose demands to know. Emily looked up to her mother with a smile beaming on her face, and she said
“Don't worry mother, I am getting a divorce from that bastard.”
Miss Rose was very pleased with her daughter for deciding to finally break the tie between her and Sean.
Awwwn!
“Make it quick without any delay, I can't wait to see the look on his face when he finally realises that you are done with him.”
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
Emily's phone screen lights up, and she picks it up and looks through it. It was a message from Harry, asking Emily if she was still coming tonight.
Emily gave a faint smile and replied by typing “YES”. She dropped the phone back and continued with her makeup.
Harry was in the parlour watching a live football match that was going on when the doorbell rang
Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong!
Harry was very upset at the sound of the doorbell thinking that it was Sean. He opened the door and was about to rain insults on the person at the door
But he was frozen when he saw that it wasn't Sean.
“Hello, good evening, I'm here to see Emily Harris. Please, is she at home?”
The man wearing a black suit with a briefcase in his hand asks.
“Yes, she is around. Wait, let me inform her.”
With that, Harry went and informed Emily that someone was at the door looking for her.
Emily was already aware of who the person was because the divorce papers were to be brought for her and Sean to sign, and without any hesitation, Emily came out and met the man.
When the man saw her, he opened his briefcase and brought out the divorce paper and handed it over to Emily. And with that, he turned around and left.
When Miss Rose and Harry saw the paper, they all thought Emily had struck a deal with one of the top companies in the country, and they were all so eager to know what was written on the paper.
Out of curiosity, Miss Rose asked Emily what the paper was all about but Emily didn't say anything at first, and after going through what was written in the paper, she sighed in relief.
What was that? Miss Rose demanded to know.
“A divorce paper, I told you about earlier.”
Without any form of hesitation, Emily took a pen and signed her part and left it on the parlour table, and went inside her room to dress up to go and see Harry because the night was drawing near.
Sean decided to return to the mansion after wandering through the street, hoping to find some rest when he got back but he didn't know what fate awaited him.
Immediately Sean entered the house, he met Miss Rose and Henry in the parlour, gossiping and laughing
But immediately they saw him, their countenance changed.
“Where are you coming from?”
Ask Miss Rose.
“I was just taking a stroll,” Sean replied.
With that, Sean walked past her, but he was immediately called back, and a paper was handed over to him
He took it from her, wondering what that might be, and when he went through it, that was when he saw that it was a divorce paper
And without any word from him, he took a pen from the parlour table and signed his part without even thinking twice.
After all, his wife has already been cheating on him without any remorse, and that alone makes him understand that he was no longer needed.
“Go inside the house and pack all that trash you call clothes, and leave immediately.”
Miss Rose echoed
“You're no longer welcome into this family anymore.”
“You good-for-nothing bastard.”
Sean tried to plead to stay at least for the night
But Miss Rose wasn't even ready to listen to that.
“I don't care, all I want is for you to pack your useless things and leave my house with immediate effect.”
