Miss Rose, Emily's mother, was shocked when she asked her if she was truly her mother. She knew she had messed up, but that was the only way out of their situation; if not, they would lose their Estate.
“I'm your mother, and I will forever be your mother.”
“You know, sometimes things happen in the way we didn't expect it, and in this situation, this is just the only way out of it; if not, the estate will be taken away from us.” Miss Rose said.
Emily looked up to her mother with teary eyes, “But my father had so many other friends who could help us without demanding anything, why don't we go to them and seek their help?” Emily asked her mother.
