CHAPTER TWENTY FOUR- I survived?
“Darryl?” I called and he rushed to me, he kicked Chris’s body away from me and bent to me, I was in shock, no doubt, I really survived tonight? Did I really?
“Are you okay? Did he hurt you?”
“Darryl?” I called again.
“I’m here, I’m here, and I won’t let anyone hurt you again, never.”
I threw myself at me when I got over my shock, I’m really free? I survived? “Oh, Darryl, you came, you came for me,” I clung to him.
“I told you I will prove myself, I’m sorry I came so late.”
Prove himself? He sure did? Late? He sure did as well but I am still glad he came the time he did, if he had been one second more late, I would have been toast. I clung to him tightly, “Darryl, Jax, dad and mom…”
