"Chloe!" She shoved him toward the door with all her strength. "Get out! Go back where you came from!" Wesley tried to catch her hand several times, but she evaded him each time. In the end, she pushed him out. The slam of the door felt as though it could shatter his heart. That night, Wesley stood downstairs for a long time, long enough for the moonlight to travel from one end of the floor-to-ceiling windows to the other.
