The hospital lobby bustled around them.
Chloe looked at Wesley, her eyes cold with mockery. "I thought Colton was priceless to you. Apparently, when it helps you get what you want, even he becomes a pawn."
Wesley's jaw tightened.
He neither argued nor explained.
Chloe didn't care.
She only needed to make her position clear.
"I'll pay for a caregiver, counseling, medical treatment, and any other expense. I'm grateful that Colton saved me, and I'll compensate him for that Nothing more."
