"What were you doing when it happened?" Madeline froze, her hand pausing halfway as she wiped away her tears. A moment later, she slowly raised her head and met Wesley's gaze. His dark eyes were glacial, sharp enough to send a chill straight through her. "Colton has never been a reckless child," Wesley said coldly.
