“Hannah, Christine, Good morning…” Kate entered the classroom with her bunny backpack at her back while yawning. “Hmm? Did you sleep late at night again? How many times have you did that already for the past weeks?” Hannah worriedly asked Kate, who had just sat down in her chair. “I’m very sure she’s watching that T.V. Series again until midnight. Hannah, I’ll go out first and call her mother to confiscate her phone before she sleeps.” Christine walks outside with her phone in hand when Kate hurriedly grasps Christine’s hand with pleading in her eyes. “Hey! Hey! Christine… Don’t tell my mother… Watching that T.V Series is my life! I promise! I won’t do it again!!” pleaded Kate, who was avoiding Christine’s stern look. “Haa… Kate, Let me tell you, sleeping late at night is bad for your body, you know? Look how deep your eyes are already because you’re lacking a lot of sleep.” Hannah sighed at how poor Kate managed her time to sleep. “But… But…” Kate wanted to say something but was interrupted by Teacher Joel, who entered the classroom. “Good Morning Students, Let’s start class.” Said Teacher Joel, who had just entered the classroom. The students of First Class-Second Year who are busy talking and doing different things quietly go back to each other's desks to get ready for the class. The students quietly waited for Teacher Joel to start the class when they realized that he was just watching and observing them and it made the whole class confused. Watching the students quietly watching him and probing why he didn’t start the class, Teacher Joel let out a small laugh and announced today’s class agenda. “Haha… Confused why I’m just standing here and didn’t start the class? Well, I’m observing all of you because I’m searching for two candidates.” Explained by Teacher Joel to his students. The whole class became much more confused because of their teacher’s explanation. Some students couldn’t stop themselves and raised their right hand to ask Teacher Joel. “Teacher Joel, What do you mean by “Two Candidates”?” Asked by Daniel. “I think you guys already know that our Academy has a Student Council. Am I right? Well, each class needs to have two representatives that will be part of this Council. This is today’s agenda and I want two of you to be our Class Representatives.” Patiently explained and advised by Teacher Joel to his students. Listening to their teacher, the students started to talk to themselves, debating who must be their class representative. “Class representative? I don’t want to become one.” “What do you guys think? Who’s appropriate to become one?” “I think Daniel is the most appropriate for this position. He's mature and easy-going, you know?” “Christine for me. She’s perfect to be our class representative because she’s hardworking.” “Kate for me!! Because she’s my crush!” “Huh! Hannah is much more suitable to be the class representative!! She’s gentle, lovely, and friendly.” “For me…” The whole class became noisy because of the debates and Teacher Joel, who was quietly listening to his students, was clapping his hands to gather back the attention of the class. “Clap… Clap… Clap… Alright, stop talking. Who wants to volunteer to become our class representative? If there’s none, I’ll personally pick two of you who I think appropriate for this position.” ” Asked by Teacher Joel. “Yes, Teacher!” Answered by his students in unison. “Alright, if you want to be our First Class-Second Year Representative. Just raise your right hand.” Teacher Joel stands up from his chair and approaches the board. After Teacher Joel finished talking, the whole class became silent so that a drop of a needle could be heard. Ten minutes passed and the students didn’t make a move, which made Teacher Joel furrow his brows and become slightly impatient. Teacher Joel opens his mouth to say something but is badly interrupted by a voice. “Teacher, I want to become one of the Class Representatives.” Daniel raised his right hand with determination in his eyes to become a Class Representative. Seeing Daniel who volunteered to become one of the two who needed to become Class Representatives, the class supports his idea of being Class Representative. Hannah, who was quietly watching all the time, suddenly had a perfect idea. “Waah!! This is it! A chance to get close to Daniel!! A chance to be with him!” Hannah, who was quiet all the time, abruptly stood up and caused her chair to fall down and raise her right hand. It caused the whole class to look at her bewildered. “Teacher Joel!! I want to become a Class Representative.” Hannah said with a very brilliant spark in both of her delicate eyes. Both Kate and Christine were startled by Hannah’s action, but both of them looked at each other, confused. An idea flashed by between the two of them. They suddenly smirk after realizing what Hannah wanted to do. Daniel looked at Hannah with bewilderment on his face. He didn’t fully understand why Hannah’s actions after he volunteered himself became hurried. Daniel looked at Hannah for a while before retracting his gaze, which had a brilliant spark in them. Teacher Joel, who was observing the two students who volunteered to become Class Representatives, quietly watched the two of them and made his decision before announcing it. “Alright, actually if you guys didn’t volunteer, the two of you will still be the ones I’ll personally pick to become our Class Representatives. Daniel was hard working about school matters, while Hannah was friendly and easy-going. Both of you are qualified for these positions. Now, Daniel Aster and Hannah Felicia stand here in front of the class.” Softly instructed by Teacher Joel to both of them. Daniel and Hannah walked up to the front of the class. Hannah, who was standing beside Daniel, started to feel extremely embarrassed. Because she was standing at the front of the class, she caught a glance at both Christine and Kate. They had a smirk on their faces. Hannah knew what the two of them currently thought. Seeing those smirks at both Christine and Kate, Hannah feels like she was caught red-handed while doing something bad by both of them. “Daniel Aster and Hannah Felicia, from now on, the two of you will be the two Class Representatives of First Class-Second Year. Please give the two of them a round of applause.” Announced by Teacher Joel. The whole class applauded both of them for a long time before Teacher Joel dismissed the class. “Alright, Class Dismissed. Daniel and Hannah, both of you follow me. I need to say some things to both of you.” Instructed by Teacher Joel. “Yes, Teacher Joel.” Answered in unison by Daniel and Hannah. Teacher Joel fixes his things first before he goes outside, followed by both Hannah and Daniel. “Hmm? Hannah, where are you going? You’re not gonna come with us?” Asked by Kate, who was bewildered why Hannah didn’t follow both her and Christine to go to the Academy’s Cafeteria. “i***t. Look! Both Hannah and Daniel follow Teacher Joel. Teacher Joel must have some things he wants to say to both of them.” Christine softly smacked the back of Kate’s head. “Ouch! I hate you! Hmph!” Kate rubbed her head after being smacked by Christine. “You guys go first to the Cafeteria! I’ll follow later!” yelled Hannah, who looked back towards her best friends. Both Christine and Kate nodded their heads while looking at the departing backs of Hannah and Daniel who, walking side by side, started walking towards The Academy’s Cafeteria. “Hey, Christine. Are you thinking what am I thinking?” Asked by Kate to the nearby Christine. “Haha… The reason why Hannah wants to become the Class Representative?” Softly answered Christine with an expression on her face saying “It’s obvious, alright?” “Yeah, seems like Hannah is going to strike the rod while it’s hot. Let’s interrogate her later.” She said with a mischievous smile on her face. Teacher Joel led both Hannah and Daniel to the Teacher’s Faculty Room. Both Hannah and Daniel quietly followed their teacher. After the three approached Teacher Joel’s table, Teacher Joel looked at the two of his students. “Listen to me seriously, alright?” Softly instructed by Teacher Joel with his serious face to the two students in front of him, who instantly became confused. Although both Daniel and Hannah became confused about why their teacher suddenly became serious, both of them nodded their heads. “Now that the two of you have decided to be the representatives of our class, the two of you need to work harder than your classmates. You need to do the responsibilities of becoming a Class Representative from now on. I want the two of you to help each other so that it will be easier for the two of you to cope with these responsibilities, am I clear?” Seriously said Teacher Joel to both of them. “Teacher, I have a question. What are these responsibilities that we need both of us to do from now on?” Seriously asked by Daniel. “Well, these are the responsibilities. First, from Monday to Friday, both of you need to check our class attendance. Second…” Teacher Joel patiently explained the responsibilities of becoming the class representative to Daniel and Hannah. Both Hannah and Daniel would ask some questions from time to time, and with how easily the two of them understood the responsibilities that now fell on their shoulders by becoming the Class Representatives, it fell more smoothly than what was expected. “Alright, that’s all. Hope the two of you do your best as our class representatives. You can go now.” Said Teacher Joel. “Goodbye, Teacher.” Softly answered Daniel and Hannah. Daniel and Hannah turned their backs and started to walk when Teacher Joel abruptly stopped the two of them. Daniel and Hannah looked at each other and approached their teacher. “What is it, Teacher?” Asked by the confused Hannah. “Wait... I forgot to say this, but now that you two are class representatives, you need to contact each other daily. On how you guys contact each other, you guys can think of it.” Added a reminder by Teacher Joel. Daniel and Hannah started walking toward their classroom. Daniel was slightly in front of Hannah, quietly walking side by side. Hannah was playing with her fingers while Daniel was deep in his thoughts with both of his hands in his pockets. When both of them were nearing the classroom, Daniel, who was in his deep thoughts, broke the ice and asked the nearby Hannah. “Hannah, how about giving you my email and you giving yours? So that we can contact each other daily and in an easier way?” Asked by Daniel with a serious expression on his face. Hannah abruptly stopped walking and looked up at Daniel. Daniel, who was walking, suddenly became confused about why Hannah didn’t answer his question. He looked back and realized that she was standing a little away from him with a shocked expression on her face. “Hannah? What’s wrong?” Daniel approached Hannah and waved his hand in front of her with confusion on his face. Hannah realized her actions and hurriedly shook her bright red face left and right before hurriedly going back to their classroom. “i***t!!! Hannah! You’re an i***t!! Why did you act like that? Daniel, please don’t look at me. I’m extremely embarrassed about my actions just now.” Hannah furiously scolding herself in her mind. Daniel, who was still confused about Hannah’s action, followed her inside the classroom to fix his things. He picked up paper and pen to write something on it. Hannah was still furiously scolding herself while fixing her things to follow her best friends at the Cafeteria when someone knocked at her desk. She looked up and saw Daniel standing beside her desk. “Wha… What is it?” Stuttered Hannah. “Here. This is my email.” Softly said Daniel while placing a piece of paper on Hannah’s desk. Hannah stared hard at the piece of paper in front of her. She couldn’t help but smile at looking at this piece of paper. She picks it up and carefully puts it in her backpack like a very important treasure. Hannah was smiling for a period of time when she spotted a person in the corner of her eyes. She realized that Daniel was still standing beside her desk seemingly waiting for something. “Hmm? Daniel? Do you still need something?” Asked by Hannah with her bright voice and smile, seemingly happy because of something. “Huh? Where’s your email? How can I contact you if you don’t give it to me? Teacher Joel said that we need to have a way to contact each other, right? Did you forget it?” Confusion was written on Daniel’s face. Hannah, who was asking Daniel with a smile, suddenly froze at Daniel’s explanation. Indeed, she forgot Teacher Joel’s reminder. Daniel, who was looking at Hannah, started to laugh, realizing that he had hit the nail on the head. “Hahaha!!” Daniel started laughing with his clear pleasant voice. Hannah’s face started to have a tinge of red because Daniel was laughing at her. “Wha! Stop laughing Daniel! Don’t laugh at me!” Hannah said, looking at Daniel like a furious kitten. “Alright, alright, I’ll stop now.” Daniel said while wiping the tears that formed in his almond-shaped eyes. “Hmph! Here! Don’t lose it.” Hannah started to write her email on a piece of paper and gave it to Daniel. “OK, thanks! I’ll go now!” Daniel said before going outside. Hannah was looking at the back of departing Daniel with a smile on her face. She picks up her backpack and leaves the classroom before walking towards the Academy’s Cafeteria where her best-friends Christine and Kate are currently waiting for her.
