CHAPTER FOUR

Nailing it

" Sir Mr principal". He began and we all muffled a laugh but the Principal stared at us all sharply and everyone of us composed ourselves while Kelsey continued.

" We didn't insult Ms Sia, she has been telling us how she hates our class and all that. We all think she's doing this on purpose, lying against our class so we will be punished."

Mr Sydney on hearing this looked at miss Sia who was in Great shock as if to ask, ' what did you tell me then?'.

Ms Sia stood up immediately, she was already near tears.

" Sir it's a lie, believe me they all insulted me and laughed at me, she in particular". Ms Sia said pointing at Daisy. I was very good at acting so I pulled it off immediately. In my former School I was very good at acting and I always get straight A's, so this is just a little problem.

"Me? Ms Sia, when did I insult you? You asked me a question and I only said I didn't know. What did you do? You insulted my parents and I? " I concluded with tears rolling down my cheeks.

Mr Sydney was confused as he didn't know who to believe anymore even my classmates were surprised at my acting.

"As the situation stands now, I don't know who's saying the truth.". Mr Sydney said

" Now class captain, tell me, is Ms Sia lying against your class?" Ruby looked at her classmates before stepping forward.

" Sir..." she began glanced at Ms Sia whose eyes seemed to be saying, 'Ruby don't do this please'. Ruby's lips curled up a little subconsciously. This woman seems to have forgotten that she was also as notorious as her classmates but just intelligent.

" Ms Sia is truly lying against our class sir and she insulted Daisy and her family. "

"What! " Ms Sia stood up immediately in anger. Mr Sydney looked at her and sighed.

"It's alright kids, you can all go back to your class ."He said

As soon as we filled out of the office we all shouted on top of our lungs,

' we pulled it off, C'mon'.

"Hey this is still school hours, I'll pen down your names! "

We all looked back, saw the student disciplinarian with his notebook and pen for writing down names of students who defaults and immediately ran to our classes.

"Sir, you actually believe them? "

"Why won't I? They all admited that you were at fault ."

"But sir..."

"Ms Sia, don't you know why I sent them away? "

"No sir."

"Because I didn't want to embarrass you in front of them. Ms Sia, I must say am very disappointed with you, I entrusted this class to you hoping that you will help them, but you ended up telling them how much you hate their class. You are fully aware that their class grade is the lowest in the school and you let me down like this? "

Ms Sia finally got a chance to talk .

"Sir it's not...."

"Ms Sia I only want to tell you that from today, you seize to be their class teacher, you shall head down to eleventh grade ."

"What!, But sir that...that class, they're pretty tough. "Ms Sia complained

"Yes go and c***k your brains with them, you can do it. You should be proud because they have the best grades in the school. "

"But sir..."

"I think we're done here, you can go Ms Sia. And call the class teacher of grade eleven class A. "

"Yes sir." Ms Sia said and left the office angrily .

After a while,

In grade nine class B, Ms Lucas entered the class after peeping from the door. The students saw her but continued chatting.

Ms Lucas: 'What the f*ck, they didn't even notice me'

She cleared her throat, twice! Yet they were still making noise.

Ms Lucas : 'Oh that's it! '

She slammed her fist on the table in front of the class and all the students jolted awake. While she walked round the class looking more like a devilish teacher with her glasses on the bridge of her nose.

" And what are you all doing by this time? Chatting? Clearly this is why your class haven't improved a bit. "

Ms Lucas said a devilish grin appeared on her face when she saw the reaction of the students.

Ms Lucas : 'I guess I will keep up with this style, aggressive, that way maybe, just maybe you all will improve a little.' She walked to the front of the class and adjusted her glasses.

" I'll be replacing your teacher, Ms Sia for the mean time and I love my class conducive for learning and interactive. I've heard alot about your class and you always crave for the last grade in the school but in this month's test,...." she looked around and at their faces, "this class must top atleast 20th to the last."

The whole class shouted

" What? It's not possible? Well you're all gonna see that it's possible, now get your physics texts out." She concluded and faced the board smiling.

"Physics? Does she want to kill us?" Kelsey said to his deskmate Adrian who replied :

"Isn't it too early for physics? " Daisy added:

"Am afraid my cute little brain can't handle this ."

Ms Lucas turned around immediately with a stern look.

"No chatting in my class."

Daisy huffed and said: "She's so mean."

As the class went on, Ms Sia asked Daisy a question but she didn't respond.

Miss Lucas walked towards her and looking at her more closely, she found out she was sleeping. She immediately removed the glasses from daisy's face and she woke up. As she saw Miss Lucas she stood up immediately. Miss Lucas peeled off the pair of eyes on the glasses causing everyone to laugh.

"What's this? "

"Am so sorry ma'am."

Miss Lucas sighed and looked around and saw Kelsey also sleeping with his palms covering his face.

"Kelsey! " He stood up immediately

"Out! Stand by the door you both."

They left immediately

"How can I be teaching and you'll be over there sleeping?, it's okay, let me get anyone again and you all will take a test immediately. " she concluded and walked to the front of the class.

The whole class became at alert as soon as they heard the word TEST.

GRRRRRM

"we'll stop here but remember our first goal which is to increase to atleast 20th to the last. Understood? "

"Yes ma'am " the whole class chorused as long as she gets going already.

"Alright then I'll see you tomorrow." Ms Lucas said leaving the class

The whole class shouted

"Finally! " Daisy and Kelsey came in and walked sluggishly to their desks.

"Oh my knees hurts." Daisy whimpered.

"Me too" Kelsey added and placed his legs on his desk for Adrian to massage.

" I have a hunch that tomorrow is gonna be worse than today. " Ruby said

"Hey! " the whole class shouted as they threw crumpled pieces of paper at her.
