Maybe it's all a dream

August 5th

With the death of onni, many other students starts to go missing.

Maya and sonnu goes missing together, police couldn’t find them for the past one month. No calls from kidnappers worries both their parents and investigators to think that they might have faced the same fate as onni.

Huh, not only killing people but also eating their flesh?

I couldn’t sleep that night. I tried hard to sleep, but woke up after having a nightmare. Even as an adult now, its horrible to think about stuff like that. I was a kid, it was even harder. Maybe i should tell my parents? I thought.Hey, but they will think i am crazy. The guard used to be my fathers childhood friend. They were very close, they still are. I had an argument with the guard 2 months ago, what if my father thinks i am trying to hide something by defaming him? What if my father thinks i did something dirty and is trying to escape it. Father will beat the s**t out of me, so i shouldn’t tell. Huh, that's what i thought at that time. I was a kid after all, so I had dumb thoughts in my head. At the same night, my friend bappi was also thinking about the same thing. Bappi still has some doubts about me. He thought, maybe i saw something else and made things up out of fear. Maybe it was a chicken instead of a human. He still had a bit of faith in me. Bappi thought maybe he should tell his parents, but what if i was wrong about the guard. Bappi thought if it turns out to be false, then he will get in big trouble. Bappi decided to forget everything he saw and just acted like we never saw anything. It was the 5th of August, all of my friends decided to meet up and hang out. I looked at bappi, and slowly asked if we should tell our other friends. He replied with, "say what? We didn’t see anything last night".I immediately understood what he meant by that. He acted as if we didn’t see anything. Unlike him, i couldn't ignore this matter. I started to get real depression and finally decided to tell the principal about this. I knew my parents were not gonna help at all. Instead of helping, they will start to think i am crazy. School was scheduled to open at 20th August, i couldn’t wait that long. I went to see the principal at his house. I knocked the door and it took him some time to come out and open the door.

“Hi sir, long time no see sir. How are you? I came here to share something with you, can i come inside?" I politely asked him.

“Yes sure, come on in. I didn't expect you kid to be here. I was having snacks, let's share it." The principal gives him permission to enter the house.

After I went inside the house, i sat in a chair and started to share everything I know and I have seen regarding the entire thing. I told him about every single detail and i even told the principal that he might be involved in the missing student case.

“Hahahahahahaha, is this some kind of prank? I know you had a crazy argument with the guard a weeks back. But to say something like this? Have you really lost your mind or are you trying to be sarcastic?" The principal gets angry after laughing at what Walid told him.

“In what way does it seem like a joke? I am dead serious about what I said." I replied back.

“It all seems unbelievable, doesn’t it walid?

If the guard was involved and really did what you just claimed. Wouldn’t the police have already cought him? Why would a mysterious criminal like him be killing and eating humans at school back? The police has already searched the school area and found nothing. That leads me to believe that you are lying." The principal claims Walid to be a liar.

“Maybe he wasn’t being careful that day, maybe he couldn’t wait anymore longer to dismember that body. He looked like a monster." Walid replies back.

“You sound way too dumb walid, go home. You are dreaming. I will tell your parents about this if you try to lie anymore." The principal warns Walid.

“But sir, just trust what I said and have faith in me. Students are going missing and dying in horrible way. Its your duty to save them. If you won’t do anything, i will go to the police myself." Walid tells the principal.

“Calm down boy, i can't get him arrested just because you claimed to see something. What if it was a doll and some chicken blood meat. You got terrified and thought it was a human. It must have been all in your head."

“I am saying this again, it was a real human." Walid assures he is telling the truth.

“Okay, i will investigate him personally and if i find something wrong he will get arrested.

Have you told your parents yet?" The principal asks.

“Yes i have told my parents. "

Oh, okay. You go home now.

I lied about telling my parents because i thought he would ignore me if i didn’t.

At 4 pm, i went to a vegetable market. While i was buying my stuff, i also saw the guard buying something. I tried to ignore him, but saw him looking at me.

He wasn’t just looking at me, he was smiling in a terrified way.

I immediately returned home.

The next day, the principal called me by my personal phone. He told me something really is strange about the guard.

After few hours, it was confirmed that the guard has run away from his house. Police raided his house at the morning. They found a lot of suspicious tools, but no human bodies were found.

They didn’t find a single thing that might prove my words right.

Police didn’t believe in me entirely, but the fact that he was involved in the missing students case was confirmed.

Maybe he really is the culprit behind all these? Maybe all the tragedy will finally come to an end? That's what i thought back then.

“I hope that culprit gets arrested soon, onnis soul will finally be at peace."

I slept very well that night.

20th August, school finally opened.

The former guard is still on a run, police haven’t arrested him yet.

Every students feel more safer now, except few who lost their close friends in the incident.

Along with onni, total 6 students went missing. 3 students body were found.

2 girls and one boy is still missing, their bodies couldn’t be found.

I went to the school, saw all of my friends doing just fine. I saw our principal who just looked at me and gave a weird smile. Maybe he's happy with what i did? I thought.

It was 23th August, another body has been found at a lake nearby. Who that might be? Its not a school student, its an adult.

Police confirmed it to be a murder, not suicide.

Who it might be?

Its none other than our former school guard.

He was brutally murdered and thrown into the lake.
