Preparations

Luna walked in her house, Tim came running towards Luna with a big smile on his face. His tail wagging back and forth so fast you would expect it to fly right off. Yes, he was a guard dog, but he has the biggest heart a dog could ever have.

Tim jumped up at Luna, his tongue was on the side of his mouth going in and out in a fast motion. Luna sat down to greet her dog , she grabbed his face and pet him. 

"Luna, darling, can you come here please?", her mom shouted at her. She was in the kitchen with a box full of stuff, at the table there was a list full of different names.

Luna looked up from her dogs face, still petting him. "I'll be right there!", Luna sat up slowly placing her hands on her knees for support. She started walking towards the kitchen, Tim following right behind her.

"What do you think about this list Luna? Are there too many people, maybe I shou--", Luna interrupted her mom before she could finish.

"Let me take a look first and then we can discuss", Luna's mom nodded and handed her the list. "Let's see here...", Luna's finger went down the list of names.

"Catherine, Louis, Trish, Bea, Lucas, Lorenzo, Oliv--", Luna stopped and looked at the name she had just read. Yep, her mom had written Lorenzo on the list. She looked at her mom with shock, her mom saw the betrayal in her daughter's eyes.

"Are you f*****g kidding me mom?! LORENZO?! Don't you remember what happened last year?"

"I know honey, but his mother is still my friend. She would be so happy to see us inviting her son to your birthday, can't you just pretend like you're friends for one day?"

Luna looked at her mom, tears forming in her eyes. Had she really forgotten what had happened? Had she really just said that?

"Really mom? Have you forgotten already?"

"Forgotten what?"

"Fo--"

"Forgotten that Lorenzo, that son of a b***h, broke my little puppy's heart?"

Luna turned around to see her father in the doorway, he looked very intimidating, but he was one of the sweetest people she knew. She looked at him, happy that at least someone in that house remembered what had happened.

"Of course I remember sweetheart, but please...", Luna's mom stood up and walked towards her. She grabbed Luna's hands and looked her in the eyes. "Just pretend like it never happened for one day, you can go back to hating him afterwards. I promise you that".

She looked at her mom, she hated her for making her forgive the person she hated most in the world. Hate is a strong word, maybe the person she disliked the most in the world is better. Even though Luna didn't want to forgive him for one day she didn't want to upset her mom, so she swallowed the thought. 

"Fine, but only for ONE day!"

"Thank you Luna, I appreciate it"

Luna nodded and left the kitchen, she walked straight towards the stairs giving her dad a big hug on the way out. 

On her way up the stairs her phone started buzzing for a little second, she grabbed it from her shorts back pocket. She turned it on and saw a message from an unknown number, 'what the hell? Who is this even?'.

She tapped in the code on her phone and looked at the text she had gotten, her eyes became wider and wider as she realized who was texting her.

'Hi there beautiful ;)"

'I'll tell you this it wasn't hard to make your friend give me your number XD'

'She is HEAD over HEELS for me haha'

'Oh, how awful of me, this is Lorenzo by the way ;)'

Lorenzo, the biggest douche-bag has her number! WHY, Catherine, WHY!?!?

'Lorenzo I'm going to block you, bye!'

Just as Luna was about to press the "block" button, she got another message from her knight in shining armor.

'I didn't know that your mom is best friends with my mom, kind of weird considering how close we are don't you think?'

Luna couldn't help but chuckle at his text, it was amusing. Wait, NO, he is NOT funny at ALL. He is just like every other guy, s*x, he is after s*x and not her. Her phone buzzes again.

'Thank you for the invite by the way, after what happened last year I thought that you wouldn't even consider it XD'

'Thanks for the reminder you prick...'

Lorenzo looked at his phone and couldn't help but to bite his lip a little bit at her insult, she made him so crazy when she did that. 

'How did you even know that you were invited to the party?'

'Your mom sent a message to my mom, she then told me about the invite'

'Did she tell you about the part where I have to pretend I like you for 24 hours?'

Lorenzo's eyes grew big, 'she has to pretend like she doesn't hate me for 24 hours? Oh, this is going to be fun...' he thought to himself with a devilish grin on his face.

'Well tomorrow is going to be a party for me then, I'll make sure that you behave when you talk to me then ;)'

'For now I'll just block you instead :)'

'Wait, what?'

'Bye Lorenzo ;)'

'Lorenzo is typing'

"And he's blocked", Luna said to herself with a huge smile on her face. No more notifications from Mr. Lover boy.

Lorenzo looked up at the ceiling with the biggest smile on his face, she is annoying, stuck up, way to entitled, but sexy on another level. He felt horny just thinking about her, in a way that he nearly wanted to touch himself. 

As quickly as that thought entered his mind, he dismissed it. 'I don't touch myself, girls touch me!'. Suddenly a notification popped up on his phone, a text from Sarah. 

He wanted Luna more than anything, but he was so horny already. 

Luna laid on her bed underneath her blanket, she was so tired and still she couldn't get Lorenzo out of her head. Yes, he's a pain in the ass, but she couldn't deny that he was and is extremely good looking.

Luna's eyes felt heavy and suddenly she was asleep at the thought of Lorenzo, all that mattered now was tomorrow. She would finally find her mate and be happy at the thought of somebody  that would maybe want her back. 

Tomorrow was another day.
