Third Person POV:
The Fox Manor at the foot of the mountain
The manor was eerily quiet it looked as if no one lived there, it was deserted even with all the people present in the house. In one of the drawing rooms of the manor there were two men sitting probably in their early forties.
"We should have supported them. David needed our support the most at that time but we were too much of cowards to say anything."
"Only if we had mustered up the courage to support him and Helen then this wouldn't have happened. She would have been here from the beginning livin with us, having everything she could wish for"
"But we didn't and see what it did to her"
"Sixteen years Tony, sixteen years!!!! Sixteen years are no joke, Tony"
"I know if only we had stood against Mom Dad and supported them at that time then today the scenario would have been different today, Sven", Tony replied while holding his head.
"Enough both of you. You both pitying yourselves and them is not gonna change what has already happened. There is nothin you can do except for trying to rectify your mistakes by doing more for her when she arrives here", a woman in her late thirties said coming in the room holding a tray of medicine.
"Amy, I really feel guilty for what happened to them", Tony replied while making space for Amelia on the couch where she sat after giving him medicine.
"But that won't change the past, you can't do anything to change it now. What you can do is help them now keep your mind as open as you can now. She will need your acceptance now.", said Amelia while holding Tony's hand and lightly rubbing it to reassure him.
"Amy, I don't think I can do that, I won't even be able to look at them in the eye", Sven said while his voice cracked a little
"Sven you have to, you of all people have been complaining about the changed behavior of David, how he doesn't talk freely with you all anymore and doesn't joke, that there is nothing left like before in him he has changed."Amelia said while looking at Sven in the eye.
"Why wouldn't he?", everyone turned to the doorway when they heard the new voice.
"Terry, where are the kids?", Sven asked while making place for Teressa beside him on the couch.
"They are in the other room wuite upset with the sudden cancelation", Terressa said as she sat beside Sven on the couch.
"They will be fine, this is more impotant. We should tell them before she arrives here with David or else those stupid might just corner her and make her feel unwanted, warn them beforehand that any type of misbehavior with her won't be tolerated.", Amelia said as she looked between Tony and Sven. Terressa nodded in agreementand they all stood up to leave the room.
On the other side of the country in a small town, an expensive black car was driving towards the corner of the town.
David POV:
It's been years, fourteen years to be exact since I last saw her. She was as pretty as a flower, she reached my knees at that time I don't know how much she has grown since then.
Does she look more like me or her?, Will she be able to recognize me?
I don't think so she was too young back then she only knew a few words back then but she used to say 'Dad' the most. I made a mistake, I shouldn't have left them under pressure, what was I even thinkin leaving them thinking that I will be able to get Mom Dad's approval.
Why did I even need their approval?
Ughhh! How is she?
Will she accept me?
Even if she doesn't I will make her accept me. She is my daughter after all, my only daughter, I will never let her go again.
My child! I don't know how she has lived all these years all alone.
Was she properly fed?
Did she have everything she needed or wanted?
Did she go to school?
No one bullied her right?
All these questions keep roaming in my mind as I drive to the orphanage where my daughter lives, I lost her and her mother when she was too young. I have been looking for them since then it's been fourteen years since I lost contact with them. I kept looking for them, I hired investigators, reported to the police, published articles, posters, I did everything possible to find them but I never eard back it was as if they have disappeared from the face of earth until today.
Flashback starts
"Tring, tring"
"Tring, tring"
"Tring, tring"
"Hello, who's this?"
"This Eva Jones from child protective services"
"Yes?"
"Am I talking to Mr.David Fox?"
"Yes, you are. What's this about?"
"Sir, we have found your daughter"
"What?? Really?? What about her mother?"
"Sir, we will talk about that if you meet me"
"Okay, okay"
"Sir would you like to meet her?"
"YES, of course! Where is she?"
"She is at the orphanage in Autumn village, should I send you the exact location?"
"Orphanage? What about do you mean by orphanage? Why is she there?"
"Sir, we can talk about that when you come here, are you coming then?"
"Yes, yes I am coming, is she okay?, how is she?"
"Sir, she is fine. You can come and see her yourself"
"Alright I am coming right away"
I left the bed in a hurry. At last I have found my daughter I am going to bring her home with me, she is my home and I am hers. I have no idea where is Helen or why my daughter is at an orphanage?, What I do know is that she is going to live with me from now on. Unconciously a smile made it's way on my face.
My daughter is going to come where she belongs and I won't care about anyone anymore. If they accept her then well and good and if they don't then also I well and good.
I don't care about them anymore. They destroyed my happy family in their ego but no more, I won't let them affect me or my family anymore. My family being my only daughter.
I wear my shirt in a hurry, pick my car keys and run down the stairs in a hurry.
As I run down the stairs and across the dining hall where everyone is having breakfast I run into someone I don't pay attention to.
"Whoa whoa!, David. Where are you running off to?", I heard Sven shouting from behind me.
"I am going to pick up my daughter", I shouted back while I ran towards the door. I feel everyone's eyes on me.
"Daughter?"
"Daughter?"
"Daughter?"
"Uncle has a daughter?"
"I didn't know uncle was married before"
I heard the triplets ask simultaeously then I heard Evan and the youngest one Henry behind me. I could feel that everyone has stopped doing what they were doing before.
