Valeth still had a Bending in place, but this one redirected the bullets off to the left, down into the plaza. Hopefully, they wouldn’t hit anyone. The tiny woman dismissed her protective barrier, sneering at Anna.
She raised her g*n.
Anna fired again.
Her next shot struck the other woman’s pistol and ripped the thing right out of her hand. A very pissed-off Valeth hissed, curling fingers that must have stung. She leaped across the alley, using Bent Gravity, and landed beside Anna.
Getting to her feet, Anna whirled around and tried to raise her weapon. A brown shoe kicked it out of her hand, and then Valeth jumped, twirling in the air for a beastly hook-kick.
Anna ducked, letting the woman’s foot pass over her. She popped up in time to watch her enemy land and advance on her.
