Chapter 13

2011 Words
It had been a day since Tabnam had left. Everyone around did something to help set up for the party. They all had a job to do. Ophelia just helped where she could. Once the work on the ship was done for the day everyone got ready for the party. Ophelia had figured out her plan. She would party with everyone for a few hours then excuse herself to go to the bathroom but really go to the docking station and try to get one of the crafts to get her home. She thought it was simple enough.  "I love this song." Meri said as she started to dance and pulled Ophelia to dance with her. She enjoyed herself feeling free to have fun. She could see why the crew loved the parties when he was gone. "Who invited you?" Ophelia knew who their voice belonged to. "Ulyssa, you never come to these anyway. Why the hell are you here now?" Meri said to her. "Ulyssa, go back to your room and sit there with the secret stash of the bosses clothes." Aurora said. Ophelia looked at her shocked. "I do not!" "Everyone knows about your lust for him." Meri said. Ulyssa stormed off. "So is that true about the clothes thing?" Ophelia had to ask. "I don't know but knowing her and the way she will throw herself at him I wouldn't be surprised." Aurora said with a smile. "Now let's get back to having fun!" Ophelia let herself get lost in the dancing of the party. The time past by faster than she thought it would. She leaned over to Meri. "I got to go to the bathroom." She yelled over the music. Meri tapped Aurora and signaled her. Ophelia was not sure what was going on. The three of them headed to the bathroom which had a long line. They waited and waited. Ophelia wished that the two girls had just let her go by herself; she would have been in the docking room. Once they got in Ophelia sat down. She waited a bit. "Lia, are you okay?" Meri asked.  "Yeah, just go back out I'll be there in a bit." She said.  "Okay." Meri said. Ophelia sat there a little longer. She left the bathroom and headed to the shaft. A few others got in with her. They took it to where they wanted and she waited to be alone to get to the floor of the docking room. Like she had hoped no one was in the docking room.  Ophelia walked around trying to figure out which craft would be easiest to get out of there with. She climbed into one and looked around. She had no clue what she was doing. She stepped out not giving up and trying something else.  "What are you doing, pet?" The electronic voice said and Ophelia turned around to see Tabnam standing there. Ophelia didn't know what to say. She looked at him and saw dripping in a pool beneath his feet. "Are you bleeding?" She stepped closer to him. He didn't move. She checked and found a large cut on his leg. "Let's go get that fixed up." She ripped a piece of her clothes and wrapped it around. She treated so many kids while at Direlili she just felt a need. She took him to his room since she didn't know any other place to take him. Ophelia pushed him on the bed and went into his bathroom to grab everything that she would need to treat him. She came back into the room with her arms full. "I think you will need to take off your pants. Please." She didn't want him to have barely any on his lower half but with how he was going to sit she didn't think it would be easy to work on his leg. He did as she told him. She looked at his leg again and went into his closet to get a needle and thread just to make sure. She cleaned his wound as best she could. After she cleaned it she could see he would need about three stitches.  "Your choice a scar or minimal scarring?" She asked as a joke. "If you could make it minimal." His voice sounded soft even in the electronic voice.  She started disinfecting everything then started the sewing process.  "How do you know how to do this?" He asked. She didn't move her eyes from what she was doing. "I was like a mom to all the young girls on Direlili. Many would fall and hurt themselves and instead of getting in trouble for having a scar. I learned to stitch them up. If you didn't know they frown upon any girl with any imperfections." She pulled a little bit to close the wound. "Do you have any areas that you had to stitch on yourself?" Ophelia wasn't sure if she wanted to show him. She knew she had it but knew no one else could see unless she showed them. She finished the last stitch,  cleaned up the area and placed a large covering over it to keep it protected for a few days. He put back up his pants while still staying on the bed. She stood up and took off her shirt. She turned to have her left side face him. She lifted her arm then ran her right hand along the side on top of the six inch minimal scar she had from her last few months at Direlili. The mark she gave herself in hopes that it would free her. "Something I gave myself." She turned her head away. She was embarrassed by what she had done to herself. She felt Tabnam get up off the bed and he ran his hand along her scar. "For someone who is so beautiful even with this." Ophelia stopped breathing. She didn't feel comfortable. He put his hand on her chin and turned her face to look at him. "What do you want? That isn't trying to leave here." "To see Adrik." The words made her tremble because she couldn't read what was going on behind his mask. "Captain." The door opened and Ulyssa stood there. Her face was shocked then anger. She didn't move.  "Done." He said. He moved past her and out of his room. The done sounded like it had anger in it. "Whore." Ulyssa said and walked away. Ophelia moved to leave the room as well; it wasn't her room anymore. She went to her new room. *** "Lia, what are you doing before bed?" Aurora asked. "My room, I don't plan on doing anything. Why?" She asked. "Girls night." Meri said. "What does that even mean?" Ophelia only had one friend who wasn't a girl and all the girls from Direlili didn't interact with her in a girls night kind of way. "Okay yeah you're going." Meri said. "Just come in some pajamas and meet in Aurora's room." They gave her directions on how to get from her room to Aurora's who was on the same floor just in a different part of the large ship. She knocked on the door and it opened and both the girls were in the room Meri sat on the floor and Aurora was standing waiting. "You're here. Let's get started." Meri said excitedly. "Come sit down or lay down on the floor." She patted next to her. "So what are we going to do while we are here?" Ophelia asked. "I thought we would talk and get to know each other better." Meri said. "I'll start." Aurora said. She got herself in a good position. "I'll tell you about how I got here." She looked at Ophelia. "I grew up poor because of the planet I grew up on." Aurora grew up on the planet Loptus with just her mother. With how the planet was, most of the women had children by themselves. They were considered a planet of harlots. Women couldn't find work because the businesses did want women working there. The only way they could make any money was to sell themselves to the rich men who would visit. The planet was kept clean because they needed the wealthy to come in.  It was Aurora's first time out on the street waiting to be picked up. She was terrified about it. She didn't know what to do. Her mother told her that as long as she relaxes and is in a happy place she will be fine.  A few men passed by and stared at her. One moved towards her. "This one is so young. I think she needs so much experience." He placed his hand on the back of her neck tightly and moved her towards all the other men. "I think you should go first." He threw her at a man. She started to coward, afraid of what might happen to her. "Very lovely you are." The man took her towards an alley. The others followed. The man pinned her to the wall and grabbed her. "So soft." He whispered into her ear. She whimpered. "Do not be scared darlin we will be as gentle as one is to someone like you." He said aloud and all the men started to laugh.  "Please, I changed my mind please don't." She begged. "Let me have her first I love when they beg." A man stepped in and moved his hand towards her private area. "No." She cried. He didn't stop, he roughly pushed himself against her. "She said no." An electronic voice rang through the alley. She didn't know where it came from and she wanted to run. "Are you f*****g with me. Who the hell are you to tell us no." The first man yelled.  "Let her go and you will be spared any injuries." The voice still said without a person to her seen. They all laughed and moved back to Aurora. She closed her eyes tight. Then she heard the sounds of thuds. She opened them to see a man in a mask with a few others around him beating on the men that had her in the alley. They all laid on the floor with cuts and blood. The mask man put out his hand. "You are safer with me. And you can go willingly or forcefully." Aurora wasn't sure but she didn't want to be forced. She took his hand and he led her to a small craft. "He saved me from having to live a life I was terrified to be a part of." Aurora said. "I see that but I didn't have that." Ophelia said. "I had Adrik the best person in my life." "You say that, but why don't you tell us about what happened to you on the night he brought you here." "I was at a party that Adrik was throwing and I was his date. He left me for a second to get us something when he showed up. Well his soldiers did and took me away. No one did a thing. They all watched." Ophelia told them. "I can see why you hate Tabnam so much. You come from wealth." Meri said. "Yes, but the past six years were on Direlili." "The proper planet. Wow and you don't even act like it." "I've never been fond of being proper. It was all about who you are better than." "Oh." They both looked at each other. "What?" Ophelia got nervous. The only two that have been truly nice and she's worried she upset them. "I see why the boss is letting you get in contact with the man you want." Aurora said. "How did you know?" She asked. “I work in the signal room. He came in for getting feed. He didn't seem too happy about it." She looked at her sadly.  "So I'm guessing it is a big deal." "Lia, it's more than a big deal. He never sends out a signal ever." Meri told her with a straight face.
