The few days that Ophelia spent on the ship had been the same. Her locked in the room and the only contact she had was with Tabnam when he came to sleep in the bed next to her. Ulyssa when she came to bring food and call her princess.
For the few days Ophelia thought of the best way to get out off this ship and home. Not to her parents but to Adrik. Ophelia knew she needed to get out. She was going crazy. She started to think maybe that if she convinced Tabnam that she had fallen for him that she would have an easier chance at getting off this ship and back home to find Adrik.
She came up with a plan and was ready to use it.
Tabnam unlocked the door and stepped in. Ophelia sat on the bed and waited a few minutes to get her confidence together.
She cleared her throat and he looked over at her. She stood up to stand in front of him with the bed still behind her.
"I want you. I'm willing to give myself to you." She started undoing her clothes. That she let pile on the floor beneath her. She stood there in the undergarments for the night he took her and the necklace she kept hidden under her clothes.
She unhooked the necklace because the protection she felt from it would not help her today. She let that fall to the floor.
She undid the last bit that kept her still descent. She stood in front of him naked.
She took his hands and pulled him closer to her while she went to sit back on the bed. She moved herself to lay down ready for him to get on top of her.
He didn't he stood there looking at her. He undid the cape he wore and threw it onto her naked body.
"You don't want me. I can see it in your eyes. Falling for me will be disastrous. Get dressed." He walked out of the room and locked the door.
Ophelia sat up on the bed she looked at the pile of clothes on the floor and the necklace she took off. She grabbed it and put it back on. She felt guilty about what she had done.
A few hours had past and Ophelia sat on the bed bored. The door unlocked and she knew that Ulyssa wouldn't be there yet and Tabnam could be back but she felt that he would be back after she fell asleep.
A huge shadow filled the doorway light that tried to squeeze in. Ophelia was terrified to see who was in the door. She looked at this tall woman who was definitely from a planet that had large inhabitants.
"Hi! I'm Meri. Let's get you out of this room and have some fun!" She skipped into the room and grabbed Ophelia's hand and pulled her out of the room.
"I don't want to get into trouble." Ophelia didn't know what would happen if she got caught.
"He's a big teddy bear. I'll handle everything. Let's just go have fun!" She jumped with still holding Ophelia and pulling her hard through the hall. "First thing is the observation room. Where we are right now is way too pretty to miss."
Meri pulled her all the way to the observation room. She pushed Ophelia to the window.
"Aren't those pinks and oranges the most beautiful thing in this galaxy?" She asked with a sign. She leaned on the glass of the window.
"Yes, but I don't understand why I am all of a sudden let out of that man's room?" Ophelia was in shock. She couldn't think straight, but she also thought about how she could also go back to Adrik.
"Boss thought that it was best if you have some time out. Thought you were getting a little crazy stuck in a room alone." She giggled.
"A little, but I would just like to go home."
"You can't do that!?" She said with shock. "The boss saved you from those monsters."
"Yeah. I keep hearing that but I really don't think Adrik is a monster."
"Trust me they are. If it wasn't for the boss I could have been one of those things pets." Sue shivered.
"I know Adrik." Ophelia turned her back to lean against the glass.
"No one knows another too well. Everyone has secrets."
"Like your boss?" Ophelia looked over at Meri.
"Yes, but I know a lot so any secrets he has is because it's his choice not to tell anyone."
"Why does he keep me locked in a room with him?"
Meri took a minute. "Well I think he sees a value in you?"
"Like I'm worth a lot?" Ophelia looked down at the floor.
"If you think he's going to sell you he won't. Ulyssa is not nice and I heard about what she said to you. It was a lie the boss is not like that. He wants to help everyone. I think it is because of the girl he loved." Ophelia turned her head quick to look at her when she heard the word love.
"What happened to her?" Ophelia had to ask.
"He could never save her. That's the whole reason why he saves girls like us. He lost the girl he loved. So don't be too hard on the boss. He's just trying to help you."
"I don't feel like he is helping me. I belong with Adrik not on this ship."
"Trust me you do belong here." Meri put an arm around Ophelia. "Tomorrow I'll take you to meet some others." Meri walked her back to the bedroom. Ophelia saw a door open and looked inside to see Tabnam sitting at one end and others from different planets talking informally.
