Chapter 9 & 10

600 Words
When Ophelia woke up she was under the blankets and in the middle of the bed. She turned from the wall and looked over at Tabnam. His breathing looked like he was asleep. She had a thought about taking off his mask to see the man under it. She carefully and quietly moved across the room to him. She kept her breathing shallow. Her arms and hands shook as she placed them on either side of the helmet. "Don't even think about it." His voice said. It scared her and she fell to the floor. He moved to stand over her. "Do not try that again." He walked away and out of the room. She heard a lock on the door click into place. Ophelia realized she was a prisoner but in a fancy room just like at Direlili with only one roommate. After an hour the door unlocked. A woman about her age maybe a year older opened the door and came into the room. She held a tray with covers over it. "Hello." She smiled at her. Ophelia wasn't sure about her or anyone. For all she knew what she had could hurt her. "Captain said you should eat something." "I'm not hungry." "Sweety the Captain said to eat. If I were you I would eat. You don't want to be on his bad side." "He kidnapped me. I'm already on his bad side." Ophelia looked at her like she was crazy. She laughed. "I'd eat before he gets back princess." She sent the tray down on the table next to the chair. Left the room and locked the door again. Ophelia went to see what was under the cover. She lifted the lid. She knew it wasn't going to be food she knew, but it was all different fruits. Some she knew others she didn't. She couldn't live off just fruit. The door unlocked again. She expected it to be the girl again but it wasn't. Tabnam came into the room. He didn't say anything. Just went to a door that was for a closet and went inside. He came back out after a few minutes. He was holding something that looked wrapped in cloth. "I see Ulyssa came to bring your food. Why haven't you touched it yet, pet?" He questioned her. "I- she-." Ophelia tried to get the words out. "It doesn't matter. I can't have you starve." He walked out of the room and locked the door again. Ophelia let out a frustrated sigh. Chapter 10 Ulyssa came in with a tray of food for the day. Like she did the few times a day. She never gave her much in words. Ophelia could feel the way she did not like her. "He only keeps you here because of your value, princess. It would pay a pretty price." Ulyssa said to her. "What?" Ophelia looked at her. She couldn't tell why she would just say that to her. "You don't think everyone knows where he picked you up from? Wow you are stupid just like everyone there." She got closer. "You know that he is just using you. I've been here since the beginning and know everything about him. So don't think your special because he keeps you locked in his room. You are just merchandise that he can't get ruined." Ophelia's jaw dropped. Ulyssa gave her a smirk and walked out. Ophelia sat in the chair next to the tray of food. In shock he was going to sell her. She couldn't let that happen. He was definitely evil like Leo had said.
