SAPHIRE RAVEN’S POV
“Ding-dong, ding!”
The plane doors finally opened, and the cool night air greeted us as Ruby and I stepped out. We had taken an Air Philippines flight, and by now, it was already past nine in the evening.
“Gats, is your dad sending someone to pick us up?” Ruby asked as we walked towards the baggage claim.
“Yeah. He said Mr. Guiller would be waiting for us,” I replied, glancing around for any familiar faces.
The moment we stepped into the arrival area with our luggage in hand, I spotted my father’s men stationed near the railing. As soon as they saw us, they approached swiftly, taking our bags without a word.
“Good evening, Lady Sapphire. Miss Ruby,” greeted Mr. Guiller, my father’s head butler.
“Good evening,” we both replied warmly.
“Shall we?” He gestured towards the black Ford parked outside.
Three cars had been sent for us—one leading the way, another following behind, with ours safely sandwiched in the middle.
When we arrived at the mansion, the grand double doors swung open, revealing my father waiting inside.
“Sapphire, sweetheart,” he greeted with a warm smile, pulling me in for a hug and a light kiss on the cheek. I returned the gesture.
“Ruby,” he acknowledged her with the same polite affection.
“How was the flight?” he asked as we settled into the dining room.
“It was fine, just a little exhausting,” Ruby answered before I could.
“Then let’s eat,” he said, signaling the staff to serve dinner.
As we dined, conversation flowed naturally. Ruby, being the chatterbox she was, took the lead—talking about everything from our time abroad to the little things that happened during the flight. My father listened attentively, answering when needed, and even updated us on business matters. One of our boutique shops was now without a manager, and he would be flying to Australia next week to handle some issues at Raven Holdings.
Then, of course, the conversation shifted to me.
I told my father everything about Clint—how I caught my so-called fiancé in bed with another woman. He was genuinely shocked, claiming Clint had always seemed so reserved.
“Well, guess what, Dad? The quiet ones are usually the worst,” I scoffed.
I had broken off our engagement the moment I saw him with his mistress, no hesitation, no second chances. And because I was a well-known model, the scandal spread like wildfire. Clint’s reputation took a nosedive, and ever since, he’d been trying to win me back—showing up at my apartment with flowers, chocolates, and endless apologies. But I was done.
My father reassured me that he understood my decision. He didn’t care if Clint’s company eventually cut ties with ours—it wouldn’t be a major loss.
We continued chatting over dinner, laughter filling the air. At some point, we forgot all about dining etiquette, too caught up in our stories to care.
Eventually, my father excused himself for work, leaving Ruby and me to settle in for the night.
Ruby and I had separate rooms in the mansion. When I entered mine, I noticed that all my luggage had already been neatly placed inside. With a tired sigh, I started unpacking.
A few minutes later, Ruby strolled in and plopped onto my bed.
“Gats, you done unpacking?” she asked, stretching out.
“Almost,” I replied, folding the last of my clothes into the drawer.
She smirked. “Looks like your dad is all-in on your little plan. So… what now? The ‘baby-maker’?”
I froze for a second, then turned to face her. “And how exactly do you expect me to find one?”
Because seriously—how was I supposed to do this? Run a TV ad saying, ‘Famous model looking for a man to get her pregnant—no strings attached’? Yeah, right. That would be the end of my career.
Ruby, ever the schemer, grinned. “Tsk, tsk… It’s not that hard. Let me see the contract you drafted.”
I pulled out the documents I had prepared and handed them over.
She skimmed through the pages, her eyes scanning each detail carefully. Then, with a mischievous smirk, she looked up at me.
“This… is going to be fun.”

“Well, I don’t see any issues with this," Ruby said confidently, flipping through the contract.
"The real issue is finding the right man for the job," I sighed, feeling a mix of frustration and hesitation.
Ruby simply smirked, crossing her arms. "That’s not a problem."
I blinked at her. "What? What do you mean?"
She stepped closer, her expression brimming with excitement. "Remember when we were still in the U.S., and your dad called you? I happened to be on the phone with an old high school friend at the time."
I frowned slightly. "And?"
"Beatrix—you remember her? Works as a receptionist at Manila Hotel? She's a huge fan of yours," Ruby reminded me, her voice laced with amusement.
"Oh, right. I remember her. So, what about her?" I asked, curiosity piqued.
Ruby’s grin widened as she leaned in. "She told me a little story about an unforgettable encounter she had. With a man."
My brows arched slightly. "Go on."
"Apparently, he was the first man she ever slept with. Not just some random guy—he’s a professional. Think more… private, refined. Not some street-side dancer but a well-bred performer in his own right," she continued, watching my reaction closely.
"A stripper?" I asked, half in disbelief.
"In a sense, but exclusive. Discreet. And from what Beatrix told me, he was worth every second. It was the kind of experience she couldn’t forget," she teased, eyes twinkling. "She swears by his skill—his movements, his presence, everything about him exudes class and control. Plus, physically? He’s the type you’d take one look at and just know he’s got elite blood in him."
I bit my lip, debating. "So?"
"So?" She parroted back, tilting her head. "Do you want to give him a try? We can find out who he is."
I hesitated. "I don’t know… Should I?"
Ruby rolled her eyes. "Why are you asking me? You’re the one getting into bed with him, not me." She burst out laughing, making me glare at her.
I sighed. "Fine. But…" I paused, pressing my fingers to my temple. "How do we even find him?"
Ruby grinned mischievously. "Easy. We call Beatrix and get his contact info." She was already pulling out her phone from her pocket.
We both sat on my bed as she dialed.
Ringing…
A cheerful voice answered on the other end. "Hello, Ruby! What’s up?"
Ruby put the phone on speaker so I could hear. "Hey, Bea! I actually needed to ask you for a little favor."
"Ooooh, what kind of favor?" Beatrix’s tone was playfully suspicious.
Ruby hesitated for a beat before saying, "Could you give me the number of that guy you told me about?"
There was a short silence before Beatrix gasped dramatically. "Wait… You mean Pervince? Oh my god, why? Are you hiring him?! Ayieee!" She giggled, clearly enjoying the moment.
"Huh?! N-No! It’s not like that!" Ruby stammered, suddenly flustered.
I sighed. Why couldn’t she just give us the number without all the theatrics?
"Then why do you need it?" Beatrix pressed, still laughing. "The guy’s only good for one thing, you know."
Ruby fidgeted, then blurted out the first excuse that popped into her head. "Uh… It’s not for me! I lost a bet, and now I have to gift someone a guy. You know, as a joke."
Beatrix seemed to consider this. "Hmmm… Is that so? Well, hold on."
The line went quiet for a moment.
Then—Beep!
We both glanced at Ruby’s phone. A notification popped up: "Vcard Received."
"Ruby, did you get it?" Beatrix asked.
"Yeah, I got it. Thanks, Bea!" Ruby replied quickly, already saving the contact.
"Alright, alright. Just don’t forget to tell me how it goes! Bye!" Beatrix teased.
"Yeah, yeah. Bye," Ruby muttered before ending the call.
She turned to me, phone in hand. "Well? Should we call him?"
I hesitated, rubbing my temple. "Not now. I’m too exhausted. Let’s get some rest first—we’ll call him later tonight."
"Fine. Rest it is," Ruby agreed, standing up. "Goodnight, Gats."
I flopped onto the bed with a sigh, pulling the sheets over me. Tonight. That was when things would start.
