Saphire’s POV
I WOKE UP around six in the evening. My father was still nowhere to be seen. Gats and I had already gone downstairs to grab dinner, and now that we were back in my room, it was finally time to make the call.
“Gats, are you ready?” Ruby asked, her fingers poised over the numbers on her phone screen.
I took a deep breath and nodded.
Calling…
A few moments later, a deep, velvety voice resonated from the other end of the line.
“Hello?”
Ruby let out a hushed squeal, pressing the phone against her chest for a second before whispering to me, “Oh my god, just his voice alone is already a feast.” Then, regaining her composure, she answered sweetly, “Uhm, hi. Are you Pervince?” She flashed me a teasing grin.
“Yes.” His reply was short, straight to the point.
“My client has a proposal for you, and I’m her manager. Would it be possible for us to meet at your place to discuss it in person?” Gats switched into her professional tone, which relieved me a little. For a second, I thought she was going to flirt him out of business.
“A proposal… Hmm, alright. Sure,” he said, sounding mildly intrigued.
“Could you give us your address?” Ruby continued.
“Do you have a pen and paper?” he asked.
“Wait,” Gats quickly said, standing up to grab a notepad and a pen from my bedside table. “Alright, I have it now.”
“Meopdiod Iallagant Condominium, floor 31, room 6,” he recited smoothly.
“Are you available right now?”
“Yes, I am.”
“Great. We’ll be there in less than an hour,” Ruby confirmed.
“Alright. See you.”
The call ended.
“Gats, hurry up! Take a shower and get dressed. We’re leaving now,” she announced before striding out of the room.
“Got it.” I sighed and headed straight to the bathroom.
Perv’s POV
I had just finished showering and had thrown on a white tank top and gray shorts. My damp hair still clung to my forehead as I made my way to the kitchen. The weather was pleasant, and I had a sudden craving for fruit salad. Fortunately, I had everything I needed in the fridge—fresh fruits, Nestlé cream, and condensed milk. After whipping up a bowl, I carried it to the couch, settling in to watch an NBA game. Miami Heat was playing—my favorite team.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
I had barely taken a few bites when a knock echoed from the door.
Oh, right. The caller from earlier.
I set my bowl down on the table and took a quick sip of water before heading to the door.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
They knocked again, a bit more insistently this time. I pulled the door open and was immediately met with wide-eyed stares. The first woman’s mouth parted slightly in surprise, and her companion had a similar expression—one that I recognized. I had seen this woman before… but wasn’t she a model? No, that couldn’t be. Maybe she just resembled one.
“H-Hi. Are you Pervince?” The woman in a two-piece dress asked, her voice carrying a hint of nervousness. She had a striking beauty—fair skin, tall, with long, silky hair cascading over her shoulders. Her Filipina features were delicate yet undeniably captivating.
“Yes. And you are?”
“I’m the one who called earlier,” she answered quickly.
“Come in.”
I stepped aside, letting them in. Their eyes wandered around my place, likely taking in the minimalist design. Everything was either white or glass—my TV stand, coffee table, and even my computer desk. The kitchen counter was sleek, white marble with steel supports.
As they observed my home, I took the opportunity to observe them. The second woman had the kind of beauty that was impossible to ignore. Her sleek, straight hair was like a waterfall, her lips perfectly sculpted, and her eyes… a mesmerizing mix of dark brown and gray. Her delicate features, framed by impeccably arched eyebrows and long lashes, made her look almost ethereal. She wore a lace dress that hugged her in all the right places, and even as I moved to the kitchen, I found myself unable to look away.
Finally, I pulled myself together and walked over to join them on the couch.
“So, what is it that we need to discuss?” I started, breaking the silence.
“Ah, about that,” the first woman spoke up, straightening in her seat. “Before anything else, I’m Ruby Rodriguez, Ms. Saphire Ravens’ manager.” She gestured toward her companion.
I blinked. “Saphire Ravens? You mean The Saphire Ravens?”
“Fortunately for you, yes,” Ruby said with a knowing smirk. Saphire shot her a look before turning to me, and for a brief moment, our eyes locked. Then, she smiled—subtle yet disarming.
I smiled back.
“I need a babymaker,” she said, exhaling the words as if releasing a deep secret.
I stared at her, my mind processing her request. “A… babymaker? You need a babymaker? Why? And if you’re expecting me to know someone who is, I hate to disappoint you, but I don’t.”
“Which is exactly why we came to you,” Ruby interjected.
Saphire met my gaze again, her expression unreadable. “I want to hire you as my babymaker.”
I swallowed hard. The moment those words left her lips, an undeniable heat surged through me. My body reacted instinctively, making me shift uncomfortably.
“Seriously?” I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
“Yes,” Ruby confirmed.
“So… am I the last resort? Have you considered others before coming to me?”
“Actually, you’re the first,” Ruby admitted.
“Huh,” I muttered, running a hand through my damp hair. “Alright then… But before anything else, mind telling me about your lineage? You seem… of mixed heritage.”
“My father is part Australian, part Filipino, and part British,” I answered. “My mother, she’s half Filipino, half British.”
Both of them exchanged glances, clearly intrigued.
“I’m Pervince Tristan de Realonda, by the way.” I extended my hand toward Ruby first before shifting to Saphire. When our hands met, I held on just a second longer than necessary. Something inside me stirred, a thought I knew I should push away. Was I already getting drawn into this insanity?
“What do you do for a living? We need to know everything before making a final decision,” Saphire inquired.
“I work at a coffee shop during the day,” I said casually. “And at night, I entertain women for money.”
They exchanged another look.
“So… do you use protection?” Ruby asked.
“Yes and no. Yes, for those who are experienced. No, for first-timers.”
“Alright…” Ruby murmured.
“Are you in?” Saphire asked directly.
I raised a brow. “I thought you had more candidates to consider?”
Ruby smirked. “After meeting you, I think we can skip that part. But, of course, everything has to be legalized.”
Saphire handed me a contract.
I took it, scanning the words carefully.
“Wow—so many restrictions,” I remarked, scanning the contract in front of me.
“Any problem with that?” Ruby, the woman who introduced herself as the manager, asked with a raised brow.
“No—nothing,” I replied, shaking my head.
“Are you sure?” She didn’t seem convinced.
“Yes.”
“Do you have a girlfriend who might have an issue with this agreement?” she continued.
A low chuckle escaped my lips, causing both women to glance at me in curiosity.
“I’m single,” I said simply.
Their eyes widened in unison. “Seriously?” they asked almost at the same time.
I straightened up and wiped the amused expression off my face. “Yes. Why do you seem so surprised?”
“It’s just…hard to believe,” Ruby admitted, momentarily faltering.
I smirked. “You’re not the first to say that.”
The two exchanged knowing looks before Ruby turned back to me. “So, are you agreeing to the contract?”
I leaned back against the sofa, my lips curling into a slow, teasing smile as my gaze found Saphire’s. “Yeah, I guess I am.”
For a moment, she and I held each other’s stare, an unspoken exchange passing between us. There was something in the way she looked at me—curiosity, intrigue, and something deeper, something I wasn’t sure either of us understood yet.
“A-Ahem!” Ruby’s forced cough shattered the moment. “Sign the contract, please.”
I turned to her and took the pen she offered, then signed both copies of the agreement.
“This one’s your copy, in case you need it,” Ruby said, handing me the duplicate.
I took it and nodded.
“Tomorrow, you and Saphire can go over any remaining details privately,” she continued. “Are you free?”
“Yes. My day off extends until tomorrow. Where are we meeting?”
“At Blue Generations Hotel and Restaurant. Eight A.M. sharp,” she informed me.
“Got it. I’ll be there.” My body was betraying me as an undeniable heat surged through my veins. The way Saphire had been looking at me, the way she had smiled—it was enough to make my pulse race.
“Alright then, we’ll get going,” Ruby said as she stood.
I rose as well, careful to shift my posture slightly so my growing problem wouldn’t be obvious. As soon as they turned their backs, I quickly adjusted myself before following them to the door.
“I’ll text you later so you have my number,” Saphire murmured before stepping outside.
I nodded, feeling a twinge of anticipation I didn’t want to acknowledge.
“Thank you for your time,” she added, then leaned in, pressing a light kiss to my cheek. Ruby did the same before they finally left.
As soon as the door clicked shut, I exhaled sharply and leaned back against it, sliding down to sit on the floor. My hands ran over my face as I let out a breathless chuckle.
“Am I dreaming?” I muttered to myself. The entire thing felt surreal—like a déjà vu I couldn’t quite place.
Saphire’s POV
Back in our hotel room, Ruby hadn’t stopped talking about Pervince. She kept going on and on about how she couldn’t get over him. She even joked that after me, it should be her turn. She was raving about his model-like features, wondering if she could introduce him to some of her friends.
But I wasn’t listening anymore.
Her words faded into a blur as my mind played back every expression, every glance, every smile Pervince had given me.
He was captivating.
Charming and dangerously seductive in a way I couldn’t quite describe.
His features were exquisite—his nose perfectly straight, his eyes a mesmerizing light gray, framed by thick lashes that any woman would envy. His skin was flawless, radiant, as if untouched by imperfection. His eyebrows—sharp and defined—only added to his masculinity. And his voice—so deep, so commanding—it had sent a pulse of heat through me the moment he spoke. I had to discreetly clench my thighs to contain the unexpected response he had stirred within me.
God. There was no doubt in my mind.
He was the one.
“Gats, give me his number,” I suddenly said, snapping back to the present.
Ruby paused mid-sentence, eyeing me suspiciously before handing me her phone. “Here. But it’s like you weren’t even listening to me earlier.”
I simply smiled as I took the device.
“What were you saying again?” I asked, pretending to be interested as I scrolled through her contacts.
“Nothing!” she huffed, standing up in mock offense. “Just return my phone when you’re done.”
I watched as she walked off, shutting the door behind her without slamming it. She wasn’t actually mad—just being dramatic, as usual.
After saving Pervince’s number, I went to Ruby’s room, handed her the phone, and thanked her before returning to my own space.
I sent him a message, introducing myself.
He replied almost immediately.
But that was the extent of it. There was no need for an extended conversation.
We would see each other tomorrow.
That thought alone was enough to send a thrill through me.
I sighed, letting myself sink into my bed.
