Chapter 4

Aryan reached Harsha sir’s house where Ramdayal had made all the preparations for the funeral. Muskaan went with Aryan’s family to her home where she didn’t know what a tragedy had happened to her life.

During the whole ride to her home, Muskaan was blabbering regarding what all she would do with her dadu once he was healthy. Hema listening to her was not able to control her emotion and tears dropped from her eyes.

After entering her home, Muskaan saw that her dadu was kept on the floor. She went to his body and started crying saying “Dadu, Why are you sleeping here? Get up na, we'll play hide and seek.”

Hema went to her and started pacifying her by hugging and patting her. Aryan after seeing her condition felt something in his heart. He felt as if something was breaking and he didn’t know what. He thought “Why am I feeling like this. I felt like this when Shanaya.. .”

“Why am I remembering her when I have made a compromise with my life and don’t want to remember her. I must be feeling bad for Muskaan as I know her and pain” thought Aryan as he himself didn’t know that the seed of a feeling of different perspective towards Muskaan has taken place in his heart.

All the rituals of funerals were done by Muskaan with the help of Aryan where she was crying in an uncontrolled manner as she was not understanding what was happening with her dadu.

After the funeral, Aaryan asked Hema to pack Muskaan’s belongings saying “Maa, Muskaan will live with us now. Ramdayal kaka will also come so that Muskaan does not find a new complete environment. I hope you don’t have any problem?”

Hema hearing him was very happy as she was tensed about Muskaan. Now she can take care of and pamper her daughter in her house. “No Aryan, I am happy with the decision you have taken for Muskaan. This was the thing that you wanted to talk about. I am happy beta.” saying she left without listening to Aryan reply to pack Muskaan’s belongings.

“No Maa, that is different” said Aryan.

Aryan and his family came back to their house along with Muskaan and Ramadayal. Muskaan was sobbing that her dadu left her and went to her mom. She was complaining about this to Hema where she was making her understand how god needed her dadu and calming her as Muskaan needed to be calm otherwise it would affect her health.

Hema made all the adjustments in the guestroom as it was going to be Muskaan’s room now to make her comfortable. After making Muskaan eat something, Hema made her sleep. Aryan came there and sat on the edge of the bed and placed his hand on her head and vowed to protect her from now onwards from all the difficulties. He felt possessiveness towards her. He himself didn’t know why.

He went to the hall and called his parents and brother to discuss something. Hema did not understand as she thought taking care of Muskaan from now onwards was the thing that he wanted to discuss.

All gathered in the hall and his Mom asked “Aryan what do you want to discuss?”

“Maa, Papa actually I am going to wed Muskaan next week. I just wanted to inform you. If you have any issues, I can take Muskaan and shift to another house.” said Aryan.
