The next morning, Lyra arrived at the courtyard of Eldrion's estate, her heart beating fast with anticipation. As she approached, she saw Eldrion waiting for her, a small smile on his lips.
"Good morning, Lyra," Eldrion said, his voice warm and welcoming. "I'm glad you could make it."
Lyra smiled back, feeling a rush of excitement at the thought of working for such a powerful and enigmatic man.
Eldrion led her to a small room off the main courtyard, where a large wardrobe sat in the center. It was ornately carved, with intricate designs etched into the wood. Lyra couldn't help but wonder what kind of garments it held inside.
"I have something to show you," Eldrion said, gesturing towards the wardrobe. "But first, I must warn you that what you are about to see is not something that everyone is ready for."
Lyra's curiosity piqued. She couldn't imagine what Eldrion was talking about, but she was eager to find out.
Eldrion opened the doors of the wardrobe, and Lyra gasped at what she saw. The inside of the wardrobe was not a typical storage space for garments. Instead, it seemed to stretch on for miles, with shelves upon shelves of robes, dresses, and suits.
But what caught Lyra's attention was the fact that the garments seemed to glow with an otherworldly light. She couldn't explain it, but she knew that there was something magical about them.
"These garments are enchanted," Eldrion said, his voice low and serious. "They have been imbued with powerful magic, and only those with a strong enough will can wear them."
Lyra felt a shiver run down her spine at the thought of such powerful magic. She couldn't imagine what kind of spells these garments held.
Eldrion pulled out a shimmering blue robe from the wardrobe and held it out to her.
"Try this on," he said. "If you can handle its power, then you are ready for the position of my personal seamstress."
Lyra took the robe from him, feeling the fabric warm in her hands. As she slipped it on, she felt a surge of energy run through her body, filling her with a sense of power and confidence.
But as she looked up at Eldrion, she saw a darkness in his eyes, a hunger for power that made her uneasy. She couldn't explain it, but she knew that there was something dangerous about Eldrion's magic.
Lyra quickly removed the robe and handed it back to Eldrion.
"I'm not sure I'm ready for this kind of power," Lyra said, her voice trembling slightly.
Eldrion's face remained neutral, but Lyra could sense a hint of disappointment in his gaze.
"I understand," he said, his voice measured. "But know that this offer is not one that will come again. If you change your mind, you know where to find me."
With that, Eldrion closed the wardrobe doors and walked out of the room, leaving Lyra alone with her thoughts.
As she walked out of the estate, Lyra couldn't shake the feeling that she had just narrowly avoided danger. She couldn't explain it, but she knew that there was something sinister about Eldrion's magic, something that she wasn't ready to face.
But despite her reservations, Lyra couldn't help but feel drawn to the world of magic and enchantment. She knew that there was something more out there, something that she was meant to find. And she was determined to discover what that was, no matter the cost.
