Episode 4: The Confrontation

Lyra left Eldrion's estate feeling conflicted. On one hand, she was grateful for the opportunity to witness such powerful magic, but on the other hand, she couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that had settled deep within her.

As she walked through the streets of the city, lost in thought, she heard a commotion coming from a nearby alleyway. Curiosity getting the better of her, she made her way towards the noise.

As she peered into the alley, she saw a group of men surrounding a woman. The woman was small and frail, and Lyra could see the fear in her eyes.

Without a second thought, Lyra stepped forward, ready to intervene. But before she could take another step, one of the men turned towards her, a sneer on his face.

"What's a pretty little thing like you doing here?" he said, his voice dripping with contempt.

Lyra stood her ground, her heart racing in her chest. She knew that she was no match for these men, but she refused to back down.

"I'm here to help," she said, her voice steady despite her fear.

The men laughed, and Lyra could feel their hostility growing.

But just as the situation seemed to be escalating, Eldrion appeared at the end of the alleyway, his presence commanding and powerful.

"Is there a problem here?" he said, his voice cool and controlled.

The men scattered at the sight of him, leaving Lyra and the woman alone.

Eldrion turned to Lyra, his gaze unwavering.

"I see that you are not one to shy away from danger," he said, his tone measured.

Lyra felt a surge of pride at his words. She knew that she had made the right decision in turning down his offer earlier. Her place was not as his personal seamstress, but as a protector of those who could not protect themselves.

"I may not be ready for your kind of power, Eldrion," she said, her voice strong and sure. "But I am ready to use what power I do have for good."

Eldrion nodded, a small smile on his lips.

"Very well," he said. "I look forward to seeing what kind of power you can wield."
