Chapter 13

I was startled when I heard the door open. I kept my attention out the window hoping that they would come do what they wanted and then leave. “Quite a show you put on this morning young lady” a voice taunted me. I slowly turnt my head to see who it was as I hadn’t heard that voice before to see the green haired guy smirking at leaning against the door.

I slowly go up from the floor and stared at him. He started to walk towards me “I didn’t get to introduce myself earlier but I’m Nicholas” he smiled at me and reached his hand out to shake mine. I reluctantly took his hand “Elizabeth” I answered by introducing myself.

“The one everyone is talking about, I definitely know who you are” he smirked at me letting go of my hand and walking over to sit on the end of the bed.

I eyed him as I walked over and sat on the bed with my back leaning against the headboard “Joseph’s not here, if that’s why you’re here” I said bluntly which made him laugh. “I am definitely not here to see my brother, I’m here to meet the famous Elizabeth” he smirked at me.

“Brother?” I questioned leaning my head to the side. “That’s right, I’m the attractive and fun brother” he was quite sexy and never stopped smiling so I’ll give him that but Joseph definitely had more looks then him.

“Mhm” I muttered. Nicholas abruptly stood up and looked at me “do you like card games and alcohol Elizabeth?” He smirked at me raising one eye brow. Looking up to meet his eyes “did Joseph send you to try to get information out of me?”. He started to walk towards the door “he didn’t no. He doesn’t even know I’m here and I really don’t care but if you want to sit in a room all alone all day and do absolutely nothing, then have fun” He said as he grabbed the door handle. “Wait!!” He turned around and smirked at me. “How did you get in here if Joseph doesn’t know you’re here?” I stood up looking at him. He reached into his pockets and pulled out a key which made me use my vampire speed to stand right in front of him. That key was my ticket out.

He smirked down at me when he slid the key back into his pocket “you’re a pretty face but Joseph would kill me if I let you out” he opened the door and bent down and picked up alcohol and a card game.

“You seem like a cool chick but I didn’t want to bring it in first Incase you turned out to be a weirdo” he laughed which made me laugh. It seemed he had a contagious laugh.

He poured us a glass of bourbon each and we sad on the bed. “So We can either play ‘drunk, stoned or stupid’ or the game ‘never have I ever’, you choose” he shrugged.

I looked at both games as I had never heard of them “uhm never have I ever, I guess” I say as I look up at him.

We played for hours on end and that also meant drinking for hours. The more we drank, the funnier it was.

“You are one dirty hybrid” Nick laughed at me throwing a pillow at me. “Hey! You said no judgement!” I laughed throwing the pillow back at him. We had gone through three bottles of bourbon.

“Alright Elizabeth, Iv wanted to ask all night, can I see your fangs” Nick smirked. I laughed at his request and moved closer to him “you mean these?” I smirked back at him as my fangs came out.

Before Nick was able to say anything, we were interrupted by hearing the door slam. “What the f**k is going on here?” Joseph demanded which made me squint. “Calm down man, I was bored and I thought I’d keep Elizabeth company while you were too busy working”

I could feel Joseph’s eyes on me but I did not look up at him, I kept my eyes down. “Get out Nicholas...now” he sounded calm but I knew, he wasn’t. Nick signed and got up of the bed “it was a fun day, Elizabeth” he said before walking out of the room.

I sat back on the bed looking up to lock eyes with Joseph’s. His face showed no emotion at all and with that, he followed Nicholas out.
