The Hybrid

Chapter 11

I was woken up by a noise in the wardrobe, straight away I knew it had to be Joseph so I quickly got out of bed to give him a bit of a scare. I used my vampire speed to run to the wardrobe and pushed him up against the wall “well good mor.....” it was to late to realize that Iv just scared the s**t out of some older lady. “I’m so sorry madam, the majesty advised me to get you some clothes this morning and I was just hanging them up for you” she huffed out trying to get her breath back. I stepped away “sorry, I thought you were Joseph”. Taking a look at this lady, she would have been around the age of 50, gray hair all around, she was quite tall and skinny and had deep brown eyes. I sniffed her “you’re human?” I questioned but full knew the answer.

“Y...yes madam, I am a servant here at the palace and have been for the last 35 years. My name is Emily” she bowed as she said that. “Oh... do you know what I am?” I put a finger on my chin trying to work out what was going on here. Just as I asked that though, I heard the door open and slam and that wonderful scent hit my nose.

I couldn’t keep my eyes of Emily though as I was feeling peckish and she was just here, standing in front of me. “Elizabeth?” I heard Joseph yell out but all I could think about was tasting this poor lady. “We are in here, your Majesty” Emily sounded scared yet calm at the same time.

I didn’t even hear Joseph come into the wardrobe until I felt him wrap his arms around my waist and pulled me back into his arms. My eyes were still on Emily, I could see her vein pulse through her neck and I really wanted to give it a little taste. Joseph turned me around so I was facing him and him only with his hands on my cheeks “Emily, get out” he growled but never taking his eyes of me.

I heard the door shut and my snack was gone. I finally let out a breath and pushed Joseph away from me “are you stupid? Letting a human in here? I could have killed her it’s been that long since Iv had blood!” I stomped my foot and walked out of the wardrobe into the room. I heard Joseph laughing behind me “this isn’t funny!” I turned around to face him. “I know it’s not but you see, you didn’t so I don’t see why your so upset” he grinned at me.

“I hate you with a passion Joseph” rolling my eyes at him. “Go shower so we can go down and get breakfast” he said as he laid down on the bed. “What do you mean by ‘go down?’” I questioned. “I mean we will go down to the cafeteria together and get some breakfast” he had his eyes shut and mumbled out “now go get ready before I change my mind and make you stay in the room all day”. I hurried along and had a quick shower, I walked out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel and could hear Joseph’s heart beat that told me, he had fallen asleep. I walked quietly into the wardrobe to see what clothes Emily had picked out for me. I put on a black g-string with a matching black bra, a pair of black ripped skinny jeans, a singlet top and knee high black boots.

I went back into the bathroom and I brushed my teeth and my hair.

I slowly walked over to Joseph who looked so peaceful sleeping and yet, here I am about to ruin his sleep. I climbed on top of him and leaned down and kissed his neck and also ran my hands down his chest.

I kissed up his neck and along side his jawline and with how his heart beat sounded, I knew he was waking up. “What does a girl have to do to get a decent feed around here” I whispered into his ear. I felt his hands grab my waist “depends who the girl is, if you are talking about you, then definitely a lot” he voice sounded so calm as he kept his eyes closed.

I started to nibble on his ear lobe and felt his hands around my waist tighten “ok, let’s go get food before I change my mind and decide to eat you instead” I sat up looking down on him to see he was smirking at me. I quickly got up and stood by the door to show that I did not want him to change his mind.

“That’s what I thought” he chuckled out while standing up and walking toward me. He grabbed me by the waist and pushed my against the door and before I realized what was going on, his lips were against mine.

I slowly wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him closer and trying to take him all in. He was like a drug and sadly, I was getting addicted. Our tongues explored each other’s mouths and he suddenly pulled away “good morning” he smirked out at me. “Morning” I breathed out trying to catch my breath.

He grabbed my hand “if you try to run or anything, you will be punished. I want you in my sights at all time, got it?” He questioned me which made me just nod my head.

When he opened the door, I noticed two guards were standing outside the door with guns. Showing me that it was impossible to escape so I needed Joseph to trust me fully before I could plan anything.

Joseph walked me down a hall way until we got to a big flight of stairs which we walked down. He held my hand firmly so he knew I wouldn’t try anything. We finally made our way down the stairs and turnt left to walk down another hall way which as we got closer, it was getting really loud with chatter. I was get nervous as I thought it might have just been us too but with all the noise coming down the hall, I now knew it wouldn’t be.

I stood tall as we walked in as I would never show my weaknesses to anyone.
