Chapter 12

I squeezed Joseph’s hand and moved closer to him as the doors to the dining room opened. All the chatter that was going on before we got there had now stopped.

All eyes were on Joseph and I, and there would have been about 80 eyes on us. Nervous was an understatement.

Joseph walked us over to a big circle table which had 8 other people sitting around it who I had not met besides one of course, Richard.

“Finally brought her out of hiding I see Joseph” a red haired girl said as Joseph had pulled my chair out for me to sit right next to her. I noticed that she didn’t call him prince so she must of been close to him. He snickered as he then had taken a seat “well I have been known to be selfish” he smirked at her. The chatter around started to pick up abit and it was very fascinating to watch.

At the NightBlood palace, we never all ate together and since it was usually just me up during the day, I would always eat alone so watching people talk, was very fascinating to watch.

“Elizabeth, you need to eat” I felt Joseph’s breath on the back of my neck which sent shivers down my back and it sure did get my attention back to the table to see pancakes sitting in front of me.

I looked up at Joseph locking our eyes and sent him a small smile then looking back at my pancakes and started to munch them down but I could only use one hand as Joseph wouldn’t let go of my other hand.

At the NightBlood palace, I always liked to stick to myself, I didn’t have many friends and usually got along with guys more then females.

I finished my pancakes and looked up to see Joseph in deep conversation with a brown haired green eyed guy, he was quiet attractive and it looks like he never missed gym day and he was full of tattoos.

“Hi, I’m Abbie” I heard a cheerful voice next to me grabbing my attention to see if was the redhead girl. “Hello, I’m Elizabeth” I smiled back at her and then gazing my attention back to watching Joseph.

“You’ll need a lot to get him away from work talk especially with Joseph and Timothy” Abbie whispered in my ear which made me put my attention on her. “I noticed you don’t call Joseph by his title, do you mind if I ask why?” I questioned because I could not get my head around it. “It’s ok, I have known Joseph for a long time, before he was crown as prince” she shrugged off.

“So what do you guys do for fun around here?” I asked taking us off this topic. Before she could answer, we were both jumped when we heard the screech “JOEY! Joey!! I feel like I haven’t seen you in ages!” I felt Joseph’s hand go stiff and then eased as hands were flown around Joseph’s shoulders. I turned to see a blonde haired, blue eyes and she was slim but had massive boobs hugging Joseph from behind and kiss him on the cheek. Shocked was written all over my face and what made it worse was he was smiley “good morning Olivia”. “It is a good morning now and... it appears someone is in my seat” before we could make eye contact, I turnt the other way to make it seem like I hadn’t noticed.

I looked at Richard who was sitting on the other side of Abbie who’s eyes were on me and I leant over “if you want to take me and shoot me in the leg 6 times to get me out of this, I’m down if you want” I whispered which earned me a grin from him.

I felt a tug on my hand meaning Joseph wanted my attention. “Olivia this is my mate, Elizabeth. Elizabeth, this is Olivia”. I turnt to face them “pleasure” I spat out.

“Oh... Joey, is this the blood sucking one? I thought it was a joke” she laughed out while turning her attention back to Joseph.

“Definitely not a joke Olivia” Joseph laughed out. Uh is he not going to defend me?

“I mean, it’s abit of a joke isn’t it Joseph and the blood sucker is definitely correct” I smirked at her showing her my fangs which made her step back.

But it also made Joseph give me a stern look of disappointment which made me put my fangs away “well she asked” I rolled my shoulders back and looked away from him.

“She’s harmless” I heard Richard say besides me. I raised an eye brow at him “talking to me now?”.

“I’m just saying, she’s a flirt but she is harmless” he nodded his head at me. I turnt back to see Olivia now sitting on Joseph’s lap.

I’m not a jealous person but I am here against my will and yet, he flirts with another girl? I want to go home.

I abruptly stood up from my chair and looked down at Richard “Richard, can you please show me my room as I am way over breakfast” I spat out. Richard looked over at Joseph who nodded his head in approval.

I glared at Joseph who I realized he was staring back at me which made me look away and walk with Richard.

The walk with Richard was quiet and in a matter of time, I stepped into Joseph’s room. Just thinking about his face made me mad, so much judgement on his face like I was in the wrong. I slammed the door not even saying goodbye to Richard.

I went and stood by the large window “why does it have to be so far up” I muttered to myself.

I ended up sitting on the floor looking out the window, imagining what I would be doing right now if I wasn’t here. I didn’t even know how long it’s been since I have been here. Did my clan know I was gone? This isn’t me, I’m not weak. I’m not weak! I will not crumble and I will get out of here.

The noise from the door opening knocked me out of my thoughts and with his scent following him, I knew it was Joseph.

I heard his foot steps walking over closer to me but I did not look or acknowledge him.

“You can’t keep me locked up forever, you know” I whispered while looking out the window. He was silent for awhile until he finally spoke “I can and I will, I’ll triple the guards if I have too. You aren’t going anywhere” his tone was direct and it felt like I was hit by a whip.

I quickly got up of the floor and pushed him into the wall “my people will come and when they do, you’ll all be sorry!” I hissed at him but within seconds he pushed me and ran me into the wall this time and held me there. “I am a long stronger then you are Elizabeth, not test my patience” his eyes were turning black, I could tell he was fighting his beast not to come out.

I was just getting started however. “Or what? You’ll chain me up and get Richard to do your dirty work? While you make out with Olivia, little ‘Joey’” I mocked.

He punched the wall the was right next to my head, I knew his beast wanted to come out and he was trying so hard not to let it.

“You’ll either be in this room or with me, you are not leaving nor will you ever leave. If you keep acting so rudely then yes I will control your every move” and with that, he pushed me down onto the floor and walked out the door, slamming it.

When I knew he was gone I used my vampire speed to go to the door and of course, he had locked it. “Let me out!!” “Please let me out!!” It felt like I yelled for hours and pulled at the door and yet, no one came.

I had taken a pillow and blanket from the bed and made myself a little bed by the window so I could watch as the day passes by.
