Zavier’s phone rang interrupting them; his eyes were wide open looking at the call. It was from his mom. Hello! Mom… he spoke in a low hesitating voice. Come home for dinner tonight, a cold voice said to him and hung up the phone without his reply. Even though it’s just a small talk, he felt so happy speaking with his mother after a year.
Waving bye to Amelia, he rushed in his bike as a flash of light. Amelia wondered as to what made him leave in such a hurry. As on the other side, he was in front of his house, dithering for a while he decided to go inside after his brother arrived. They both went inside.
Zakary was standing near the door like an unwelcomed guest. His mom and dad were sitting in the couch while his brother went to attend an important call. After a while his grandparents reached their home, and seeing Zakary standing near the door they dragged him along with them inside the house.
He greeted his grandparents and tried to speak with his mom. But she turned her head away avoiding him. Neither his mom nor his dad spoke a single word to him.
His grandma Zane patted his head with her warm hands and whispered to him not to worry about anything. Zakary nodded his head by giving her a smile.
Mila came running towards Zakary and hugged him saying, Brother I miss you so much… He hugged her back and said that he misses her too.
After everyone arrived, His Grandpa David announced them about the marriage promise about Oakley family and Penelope family.
So we decided to tie the knot between the first daughter Amelia Penelope to Gerald Oakley and the second daughter Miley Penelope to Zakary Oakley.
This is the decision and no one shall disobey it. Gerald and Zakary’s eyes were wide open… What? Rea… really grandpa! Is it Amelia? He asked his grandpa again… he nodded his head as a reply. He was so happy inside; he liked her the first moment he laid his eyes on her.
Do you like her son? His mom asked Gerald… hiding his excitement, “yes mom I saw her at the event today and she is good” he replied.
While on the other side… Zakary was shattered… he felt as if the world has come to an end.
The wedding will be held in three days and everyone shall prepare for it, his grandpa said with a straight face and left the house with grandma. Seeing Zakary’s gloomy face Mila came near him and asked, if he is not interested in this marriage?
Zakary looked at his mom and dad… dad! Can I not… before he could finish… if you still consider us as your parents and want to live in this house then just don’t make any scene and quietly marry her, he said with a furious voice…
Zakary left the place quietly. He took his bike and went on a ride. He doesn’t know where he is riding to… he just went the way; the bike took him… at last without realizing himself he arrived at DIZO.
He put a stand on his bike, leaning on it he looked up at the tall glass building…
He sighed… why? Why does it have to be you whom my brother should get married? I just wanted to have a simple life with you… I wanted to love you all my life… But now, I didn’t even get a chance to confess my love to you…
While on the other side…
What? In three days! How can you arrange my marriage in 3 days? Amelia was furious. That was decided by Oakley family, it is said it will be an auspicious after three days, said Jacob.
Miley jumped in joy while Amelia still couldn’t accept it.
She left the mansion in anger and came to her company. Whenever she is in a bad mood she goes to two places, one is her company and the other is….. (Secret… will be revealed in later chapters)
Seeing Zakary at this time near her company she couldn’t believe her eyes… he was looking up high, at the glass window where Amelia’s office is… this is not the first time for him to come here and look at the window, it happened many times in the past.
He didn’t notice her foot steps and was startled seeing her so close. He thought it was a dream. He pinched her cheeks softly to make sure it’s not dream… to his surprise it is indeed not a dream. She stared at him with furrowed eyebrows.
Why are you he…? Before she could finish he hugged her tightly. She was startled. She is suffocating… what… what are you doing? She stuttered. He came back to his sense and released her. I’m sorry he apologized to her. With her bashful face she asked him why is he here.
To take you on a date he said with a smile. She stared at him and asked how did you know I will come here?
My instinct … he replied
He hopped on his bike and gestured her to sit…
I’m getting married… she said looking at his eyes.( Eventhough he knows that, he wanted to spend some time with her.)
He kept silent for a while… do you love him? He asked her
No… do you want to get married? There is… shhh… just say yes or no.
Do you want to get married? No…
He was a bit happy hearing that. What do you want me to do?
She hesitated for a while, then she pluck up the courage and said, don’t waste your time on me…
He chuckled…
The time I’m spending on you, the time I’m spending with you is more worth… it’s never a waste. He said with a pure gaze. Those sweet words made her heart beat so fast.
Go on a date with me Amelia… Are you crazy? I said I’m getting married in three days, but you are…
“You are marrying my brother”……
