Episode 12

Grandma! You called me? Amelia asked her while entering the house. Yes dear! Sit down; I want to give you something. She went upstairs and brought a wooden jewelry box covered in green velvet and gave it to Amelia gesturing her to open it.

The thing inside the box is more exquisite than the box itself. It was a jade bangle, an imperial green color with mixture of light and dark green, which was one of the rarest pair of jade.

Grandma! Isn’t this the most… yes it is one of the most treasured item in our Penelope family. This is your mother’s bangle. She left it for you.

Thank you Grandma! She hugged her with joy of tears in her eyes.

WEDDING DAY

The whole place was decorated with lavender Hydrangea and some white lilies. The fragrance of the white lily caressing the wind gave a warm pleasant ambiance. Along the aisle, the red carpet and rose flowers are spread as if they are welcoming the couple. As it is an outdoor wedding, the trees were dancing at the guests with his friend color balls and hanging lights.

The guests were busy chatting. Waiting for the bride and groom to arrive they were ready to give their blessing and rain them with rose petals.

While on the bride’s room both the brides were getting ready…

With a braided hair decorated with white pearl beads Amelia was wearing the off shoulder mermaid dress. As for Miley, a trumpet dress which matched her perfect curve along with a diamond necklace with a flowing hair she completed her look.

Both the brides were ready, and was about to leave while, Athena (Amelia G.M) and Zena (Zavier G.M) stopped them to wear the veil. They were confused as to why they have to wear the veil that covers their face. They said it was the tradition of their family and made them wear a two tier drop veil.

Amelia and Miley reaches the venue while they saw a commotion is going on. There was a tense and gossip in the air. Mila made them sit in the chair, Amelia and Miley couldn’t understand what is going on. They asked Mila as to why the wedding has been paused. She hesitated to reply. As Amelia compelled her, she replied with sad eyes… Sorry sis in law! My second brother has ran away and nowhere to be found.

Amelia was poleaxed. She doesn’t know whether to feel happy or sad.

But she clearly wasn’t feeling happy.

Oh sister! Seems your groom doesn’t want to marry you. Miley sneered at her. Amelia didn’t reply anything. She kept quiet.

I should have known when he said he wouldn’t marry my sister. I shouldn’t have teased him. He asked me to elope with him but I refused now he just ran away… is that why he gave me a kiss that day? Why my heart feels little hurt? Now what will happen? Will they force me to marry their first son? She was mumbling to herself while Mila said, sis in law they are back with brother.

Her eyes were wide open and looking for him while, a group of people dragged him back, his father rushed towards him and gave him a hard slap. He neither dodged nor did he fight back. He just stood there with his head down.

How dare you? I clearly warned you that day. Didn’t i? He was shouting at him furiously

While he was about to give him another slap his brother came and stopped him.

The priest came and requested to start the wedding.

Both the groom was standing at the stage. Amelia was walking down the aisle with Asher while Miley was walking with her dad. Once they reach near the stage Miley stood opposite to Gerald while Amelia was standing facing Zavier. His head is still down. He never gave her a look.

The priest started saying the vows…

The Groom, Gerald Oakley and Zavier Oakley do you take Miley Penelope and Amelia Penelope, respectively as your wife?

Yes I do, Gerald said in a happy loud voice, while Zavier kept silent. The

Priest asked again Zavier Oakley do you?

Yes… he said as if he is lifeless.

He then asked the bride… The bride, Miley Penelope and Amelia Penelope do you take Gerald Oakley and Zavier Oakley as your husband?

Yes I do! They both said together.

Now the bride and the groom may kiss…

Gerald came forward to kiss his bride while Zavier stood still.

Zavier! A low yet terrifying voice came behind him. He sighed, came towards Amelia took her hand and kissed at the back of her hand. Gerald was about to lift the veil and kiss her but looking at Zavier he too dropped the veil and kissed at Miley’s hand.

The crowd clapped their hand as the wedding ceremony came to an end. Some left for the banquet while some chatted and congratulated the couple.

Both the bride was taken to the Oakley mansion as they are exhausted while the groom stayed a little longer.
