29 The Spirit of it AllJonah stood at the cash register of S.T.R. His key, and its copy, were in his hand. Mr. Steverson's funeral had already come and gone, but Jonah's appearance there was brief; just the duration of the service itself. Harland had obliged small talk, but that was about it. Amanda was in tears the entire time, and looked to be seconds away from bawling if anyone spoke to her, but that was no bother. It wasn't like Jonah had much to say.
