I blinked my eyes open slowly, groaning as the bright hospital lights pierced through my haze. My surroundings were blurry, but I saw a figure nearby. I blinked again, and Jace's face came into focus. "Hey," he said softly, moving closer to me. "How are you feeling?" I rubbed my temples, trying to shake off the lingering fogginess.
