CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE I still felt strange arriving at Memory Makers with Rick so late in the morning, but no one mentioned anything including Dr. Murray who merely nodded at us when we walked in. For some reason, everyone was still in the breakfast room. The atmosphere there seemed subdued. Maureen waved me over without her usual smile. “Are you feeling better, Lauren?” She had a cup of coffee in front of her, but suspected it been a refill. “I had a tough night,” I said avoiding her gaze. “I had a bad headache when I woke up.” “Sorry to hear that.
