“My lord, the prisoners have been set free,” a guard announced, prompting me to stand on my feet. “Where are they?” I asked, while preparing to leave my chambers. “They have just arrived at the camp,” he responded while bowing his head.
Hurriedly, I left my chambers and made my way to the camp. I had threatened him to release them, but I never knew he would do it so quickly. Curiously, I quickened my steps and reached the camp, where I saw the captured Pack members trying to settle.
Anxiously, I scanned the area, looking for Melanin, but I didn't find her. Instead, I saw the boy with the green eyes standing beside a woman. His eyes were filled with fear and worry, but the moment he saw me, his eyes lit up, and he managed to flash a weak smile.
