My system was already in disarray as I couldn't find him anywhere.
"Leonard!" I screamed so loudly that my voice echoed through the waters, yet there was no one to reply to me.
"Oh no, this is not happening!" I said to Olivia.
"Calm down, Mel, he's definitely not in danger." The way Olivia talked was as if she was trying to assure herself more than me.
We were both in a panic. What would I tell his people? What would I say happened to their leader when I was out with him? I'm sure they would never believe whatever story I had to tell. I'm a stranger and I can be dangerous. But that wasn't even my main concern. My concern was Leonard himself.
