The moon had risen high in the sky by the time Steve finally made his way back to the packhouse. He was tired, both physically and mentally, but his resolve had hardened. He wasn’t going to let Jerome win. He wasn’t going to let Aria be forced into a marriage she didn’t want. And he wasn’t going to let their packs be torn apart by a feud that had lasted for too long. As he reached the packhouse, he saw Victor waiting for him by the entrance. His Beta’s expression was unreadable, but Steve could sense the concern behind his eyes. “Did you come up with a plan?” Victor asked quietly as Steve approached. “Not yet,” Steve admitted, his voice low. “But I’m working on it. We need to find out more about what Jerome is planning. I have a feeling there’s more to this than just a marriage alliance
