Chapter 1 I got Reincarnated!?

i’m bleeding out…! i can’t feel my legs. my right hand was busted and i don’t know where my left hand gone too. i can feel the warm sensations flowing out from my broken skull. damn it hurts! that bastard just cut me in a double line making him lose control and hit my right side... f**k you pig driver! i hope you die painfully like i feel right now! bastard think they own the road, and drives like a fucktard…? f**k you! ah, a paramedic came to my busted crashed car. it looks like they just reach here and started to check on the victim. help me first, please….?

“this one doesn’t look good…. ‘Audible’……” (paramedic)

ah what…? what is he saying….? the pain i felt before went numb as my eyesight became blurry… ah…. my favorite anime got a new season’s episode tonight… i…. wh…. n……

what’s this? didn’t i just have a car crash? why am i in the middle of a forest? the tree looks odd… is that a bird…? it looks like a hybrid of monkey with wings on its back….! the hell’s wrong with my view? did i crashed that hard until i pass through into another dimension…!? A-anyway, that winged monkey looks scary…. it had sharp fangs on its mouth and black eyes, staring at me while i’m still sitting on the ground.

(rustle, rustle…)

oh boy…. that winged monkey had a gang with him. around me were at least 10 or more-winged monkey with me in the middle of them. some were drolling while looking at me. i got the feeling that they sees me as food. but that’s not a problem, this not a reality is it..? yes..! this must be a dream! how can a monkey had wings if this is real…?

“kshiiss…!!!” (winged monkey)

“f**k!!”

suddenly, a winged monkey jumps to my back then bites my left shoulder.

“the hell…?!!”

blood gushing out and my left arm starts to numb. f**k… it hurts!

“f**k youuu….!!”

i grab the winged monkey that was biting my shoulder then throws it away from me. blood gushing out from my wounded shoulder where the winged monkey bit just now. its not that deep but still stings like hell. i glare at the winged monkey.

“f**k you, shitty monkey…. that f*****g hurts!”

after my provocation, the winged monkeys charging towards me simultaneously. i tried fend them of using only my fists and kicks, preventing them to get near my body. but because of their numbers, i was pinned down by those bastards as I’m cornered towards a large tree.

“eeekkk…!” (winged monkey)

suddenly, one of the winged monkey started screaming when it looks above the trees. for some reason, it looked terrified and flew away. not long after, the others follow suit behind it and bail away. i don’t know what did make the winged monkeys acts as such, but something tells me that i should run away as well. but my legs were both heavily injured by the winged monkey attacks earlier, i can only stand where I am right now.

“sssss……!”

i heard a loud hissing from above me. my skins suddenly crawls as chill drops to my spine, struck me in deep terror, making me unable to move. i can hear a slithering movement slowly ascend towards me from behind. A moment after, a large shadow hovers above me as i slowly saw the perpetrator of those sounds appears before me.

“Wha….?” (Riese)

I was stunned by the sight i saw before me. beautiful colored scales with rainbows like colored, its breathtaking... The head slowly faced towards me with red glowing eyes. In that moment, I found that it’s giant snake….!! i’m in awe and in the same time, terrified by the sight of it. it slowly approach me then licks my blood with it splitted tongue. it tickles me a bit but i hold myself out of concern that snake will attack me if i do a sudden movement. it keeps on licking my wounds, its long and slimy tongue almost wraps my body whole.

“you’sss tasty’sss…. never’sss taste’sss like’sss this’sss….” (giant rainbow snake)

it talks…!? this snake just spoken to me!! the voice sounds lusciously feminine and quite sexy and alluring as well… wait!? nows not the time to get excited! this is a large snake for god sakes! why am i aroused by it!? its not like i had a snake fetish or anything! if the top was a woman, then that will be a different story. but this snake just a giant colorful rainbow snake that’s even bigger that an anaconda, its massively terrifying!

“p-please don’t eat me…. i’m not delicious….”

oh fack…! Did my tongue slipped as I get nervous…!? the giant snake stops licking my body then pulls its tongue inside its mouth back. hiiiii! W-why did i open my f*****g mouth!? that’s it, i’m dead! the giant snake opens its mouth wide and ready to gulps me entirely! Damnit…!

(chomp!)

I-it hurts…. it f*****g hurts….! i can feel my whole body’s melting away… i must be inside the giant snake’s stomach and get digested by its stomach acid! its feel so hot and painful… i’m dying… i’m not gonna be a snake food…. please let me get up in the hospital…. it hurts…!

as i woke, a bearded man suddenly gag my mouth with a piece of wood. What the f**k…?! it seems like i was tied up. next to me was a fire with weird color. it looks green but lits up blue and white colored. D-don’t tell me this man wanted to cook me with that fire. i started to struggle for my dear life from having a fate being eaten by a savage man inside a cave in the middle of nowhere, helppp!!!!

“quiet down, foolish boy! do you want to die!?” (bearded man)

“mmghnggmhmggmg….!”

what i said was [please don’t eat me, i’m not delicious, please i beg of you, don’t eat me alive]. but the bearded man didn’t open the gag on my mouth but takes the fire using only his hand then puts it on my bared chest.

“ggmhhggg!!!!” (riese)

Fuckkk! its f*****g painful! its like someone just poured boiled water on top my chests skin. i can see a black smoke coming out from my body as my consciousness slowly fades away…. Man, why is this happening to me….!?

uwaa… whats this…? a beautiful woman was kissing my lips…ouch! but it felt painful though…. can you be a little more gentle sister…? ah~… what a dream-…

i got splash by cold waters and got awoken from my dreams. the one who did this to me was the weird old man that I met before. Wait, I’m still alive? And what is he doing, staring me like that as if he’s looking through my soul?

“Humu…” (bearded man)

he shrugged then throws the wooden bucket to me.

“you done dreaming? follow me and fetch some water.” (bearded man)

“uh ah….?”

before i could get a word out. the bearded man turned around then walks away. how strange… but since the wooden bucket is with me, i followed him after. the entrance of the cave was not far from where we were. that’s right! my body. i looked and check every parts of my body while following the bearded man, i was stunned. there were no more wounds. nothing! not even scars. how did—…

“you thinking why there are no wounds on your body?” (bearded man)

did that guy just read my mind…?

“y-yes…”

he turns around and looks to me.

“You’re not from this world, are you?” (bearded man)

wha…? this world…? what did he meant by that? i thought that this is a dream. am i already dead? did i got reincarnated? Aren’t those things just happened in fantasy novel and such? The heck?

“you looked confused. that means that you just got transported to this world or something….” (bearded man)

after saying that, he went back muttering to himself.

“t-then… what world is this?” (riese)

he turns around continues to walk while saying.

“Velluvian…. you are now in the forest sea of trees. the most dangerous and atrocious forest for a being to wonder. it’s a good thing I’ve found you before that monster managed to devour you days ago.” (bearded man)

i see… this man saved me then. Humu… wait! i’m f*****g got reincarnated…?! what the holli moloby mohobyy!! isn’t that my life long dream!? oh god… if you exist, i just want to say thank you for giving me this chance for my dream come true…. although, the starting was a little, no…. i almost die!! can you be at least be a little gentler towards me~…?

“oi! stop day dreaming and fetch some waters!” (bearded man)

oh crap! i didn’t realize that we were on a riverside already. by the looks of it, the water was crystal clean! i can see fish like creatures swimming inside it. the bearded man went inside the river while i fill the wooden bucket upstream.

“hooh!” (bearded man)

his hands glowing a dim light and suddenly creates magic circle on both of his hands. he punched the river making a loud sound and i can see the fish like creatures the size of my hand thrown into the air. the bearded man fetch all of it with lightning speed movements. I whom was watching this, had my jaw dropped open wide. magic….!! awesome!!

“oi… take those fishes and follow me.” (bearded man)

he points to the fish that flew to the riverside next to where i was. i closed my mouth then collected the fish and follows him back to the cave. it didn’t take a long walk to reach the cave from the river, it maybe only took about 15 minutes or so. after we reach the cave, the man walk pass trough to where i was treated and gone much deeper inside.

…….(after a while)

not long after, he stopped near the cave walls and flick his fingers, making the dark cave pathway lit up by torches from the cave walls. at the end of the cave, were a big stone slab with symbols and magic circles on it. the bearded man went close to it then touches the magic circle, making it glows brightly and the ground faintly shakes. the stone slab moves slowly to the right and exposed a wide area inside it. the man went inside as i follow him from behind while carrying the wooden bucket with fishes and water on it. the area was quite huge and there were spaces in the middle of it that looks like a fireplace. the area were a round spaced and quite neat and tidy. there were a single bed next to the table with a single chair next. but what is amazing were the walls. it was made to shelves with books stacks in them and it covered almost all of the walls. Seeing this reminds me of a library. at the center of the celling were a hole about 20 inch in diameter that shone bright light from the sun that lights up the room and acts as a chimney for the fireplace.

“put those fishes there.” (bearded man)

he pointed at the table next to the fireplace. i followed as what he told me then puts the bucket full of water next to it. alright… what to do next?

“how long are you gonna stand there like a dead stump? piss off…” (bearded man)

he push me aside then proceed to clean those fishes. the way he handle it was brutal… i almost throw up by the sight of it. easy with the fishes old man… though the fishes only about my arm sized, it seems to had just a tiny bit of flesh on them.

after finishing cleaning the fishes, he washes his hands inside the wooden bucket then throws the intestines of those fishes into it. i wonder, how did he manages to gutted the fishes with just his bare hand? he went to the fireplace then muttered something then, the fireplace lits up fire. he takes the bucket that was full of the fishes intestine and throws it into the fire.

(whoosh!)

the fire became big for a moment there. just what did? While I was bewildered, he proceed to skewer the fishes and puts them atop of the fireplace. just what the hell is going on? i’m really confused… is he try to cooked the fishes or doing magic stuff…?

“you looked confuse. you wonder what i did just then?” (bearded man)

i nods hastily. i’m really confuse and intrigue by his actions earlier. he then started to explained how the world works. it seems like he doing some ritual to thank for his meal by finishing all of the fishes remains and let nothing to waste. it also works on his powers as well. in this world, they don’t use the concept of mana or life force. the source of their magic is called Rho.

“Rho, is everything. its the reason you breathe, the reason why you feel your heartbeat, the reason you need to feed, the reason that you can see, the reason that you can hear, the reason why your blood flowing, the reason of your desire, the reason of your living, the reason you can use your strength, the reason of your magic, the reason…….” (bearded man)

as he was saying, i really didn’t understand a words he said…! its like listen to an old senile man mumbling his words. well, he is an old man… though, he really meant every words that he spoked of and with great compassion. i just listen him mumbling while sitting on the floor.

“in short. Rho, is everything…. do you understand young man from another world?” (bearded man)

“i want to agree with you, but you sounds a senile old man mumbling… not to be rude old man. i’m really grateful that you saved me before….” (Riese)

“its Garloc. the great me name is Garloc, a sage from the Hillerian continent. remember that boy…!” (Garloc)

a sage huh…? he does looks like a hermit, but he had no staff. i bow half and ask for forgiveness to him.

“forgive me, mr. Garloc. i’m called Riese. i’m really sorry but i don’t catch everything that you said just now. all i remember is that rho is everything. what’s that supposed to mean?” (riese)

Garloc nods his head then hold his chin. he closed his eyes.

“yes…. that’s all you need to know. Rho is everything… i’ve been living in these past thousand years only to understand the meaning.” (Garloc)

“a thousand years!? then, how old are you, old man!?” (Riese)

i jumped on my feet as i were shock by his words. a thousand…? how…? that’s just not normal! even if this is a fantasy world! a thousand years for a human to lived? that’s just impossible! even though i was shock, Garloc remains calm then takes one of the skewered fishes and gives it to me.

“eat first.” (Garloc)

(growl…)

that was me. ehe~… i was quite hungry since earlier. i receive the skewers fish from him the thank him. bon apatite. i took a bite and-…

“blerg….!” (Riese)

yuck! disgusting! the hell!? it taste like a warm rubber tire! i throw it up then wipes my tongue. that disgusting taste still there….! yuck!!!

“hahahahah…….!” (Garloc)

he just laugh at me. he takes another skewered fish from the fire then eats it like it was nothing…. hump…!? that taste just plain disgusting! how can he eats it like a normal food? it didn’t take long for him to finished the fish. not even the bones were left! he just eats everything!

“young man… your understanding is shallow. consider you just come to this world, i will not judge your action. but are you sure you can survive with an empty stomach?” (garloc)

he’s right… f**k! i’m hungry but the food on my hand is really disgusting…...! help me fast food…! how can i eat this thing!? but considering that nothing here aside the fish to fill my belly, i surrender myself to the disgusting fishes and ate it anyway. yuck….!

i manages to finished the fish. even though i almost throw up everything away. damn that fish tasted really disgusting…! the old man went out earlier while i was struggling to eat the fish and i was left alone in here. now, what should i do…? there were tons of books here, i should take a peek on one or two of it. the old man didn’t warn me to not read it anyway.

the heck….? i don’t understand this characters! i could see some drawings on them and some magic circles, but i don’t know what it says…!!

(rumble)

oh.. the old man has return. the stone opens up and he went inside.

“what are you doing…?” (garloc)

he ask me as i was trying to read the book that was in my hand.

“s-should i not take this books to read…?”

he shake his head then went towards the table where i was.

“if only you return them back to where they were. considering if you were able to read them.” (garloc)

dammit…! his on the mark. did i looked stupid trying to read a book that i don’t even understand…? f**k.

“can you teach me the language of this world…? i really wanted to read this stuff…”

he shakes his head then walks towards the bed.

“not yet… you still don’t know the Rho…. quiet now, i want to sleep.” (garloc)

uwaa… its still in the evening old man… are you that old as to had an early nap…? but looking on his behavior, it seems that I’ll unable to learn the language from him yet. man… the hell should i do now…?

welp… i guess i will sleep as well. theres nothing i could do anyway… though the ground seems hard, its quite comfortable to lay down. i return those books that i borrowed earlier and went towards the corner to sleep. man… shouldn’t i had some special after being reincarnated in a new world…?

days had passed by and i am still don’t had anything to do. the only time i had done something when the old man ask me to help him gather fishes and some water for the bucket. i’m bored to death….!

“old man…! please teach me magic…!” (Riese)

i prostrate myself in front of the old man after finishing my meals.

“i’m busy.” (garloc)

yea…? no kidding… i felt really bored since these couple of days and had nothing to do.

“cmon old man… just a tiny bit. if thats to much, at least teach me to read, please…. i’m going to die out of boredom, you know…?”

i beg him to teach me how to read and kept my head down to the ground.

“sigh… i cant teach you anything… you must understand the Rho first…” (Garloc)

again with his mumbling…

“how could i understand anything with that… please oh great sage… please enlighten this fool…”

he went silent after hearing my words of praise. i took a peek to him and he scratch his head.

“you otherworldly are a fragile being… if you don’t understand the meaning of this words, then there is no hope for you…” (Garloc)

he then went to his feet then leaves the cavern.

“just what do you mean by that…!!?”

i don’t know if he heard me, but i was furious as to his answer. damn that old man…! at least give me a pointer so i could start understand your mumbling, self proclaiming senile old sage… but i shouldn’t work up by this. he may kick me out if he were to be displeased with me if i gone further. outside is scary as f**k…! even the winged monkeys are frightening.

“ahh…! thats it…!”

i sat down with cross leg and starting to muttered like the old man always do.

“Rho is everything, Rho is everything, Rho is everything……”

i continue to mumble those words inside my mouth and my mind. if he said that Rho will help me. i should meditate for it. i hate meditation. but considering that i don’t have anything to do aside sleep, might as well become a monk…… Rho is everything……
